What a great story and thank goodness that this sea lion was seen and able to be saved. I can't begin to tell you how many times I've run across seagulls and other ocean mammals caught in balloon strings and fishing line along the coast of where I live. I wish that the people celebrating birthdays on the beach with their balloons and fisherman releasing hundreds of feet of fishing line would realize what this does to our wildlife. I've spent hours on the beach trying to capture a tangled bird so that it could fly again. These people need to become aware of what their pollution is causing!!! Thank you for the post Cher. Peace.

Great story. Now they need to turn that care and attention to the baby harp seals. Thanks, Cher!

What a heart-warming story! It is nice to hear good news instead of sad news all the time.

Now if they could protect the thousands of seals that are slaughtered in Canada--that would be an accomplishment !! Thanks again to the Canadian government for doing nothing to stop the brutal slaying of innocent seals !!

It's always nice when someone is able to help and save an animal.I just wish there were more people willing to do it.
