Wow....thnx for the information, Cher!! I can't get over humanity's ego, or Super-ego, believing because we are human we can overpower tigers. Well, I for one, am sick of it. It is time we start showing tigers of all stripes, shapes, and sizes, the respect that God wants them to have and the best way to show them respect is NOT BUY ANY PRODUCTS such as TIGER BALM!!! For years I was fooled into believing that they didn't use tiger parts for TIGER BALM but they do!!! I stopped buying it....

Cher, thank you so very much for taking the time to translate that article for us. It was so very informative. I hate zoos, I went to the San Diego zoo once and I cried because some of the animals paced in their cages and it is one of the better zoos, if there can be such things. I have been to some preserves that were better and I didn't feel so saddened by the feeling I got from the animals there. I love big cats and my bedroom is where I display my many pictures of them, it is a rather private thing,,, hehehe, it was... once again, thank you... =)

Hi Cher-I would take my hat off to you (if I wore one!) in being able to translate all those interesting facts on the Amur Tiger from Russian into English. I would just point out that the smallest tiger is of course the Sumatran tiger and not the Jarvanese tiger which unfortunately is now an extinct sub-species. Thanks once again for all your news about tigers which I always read with considerable interest.
