At Easter, pet stores, feed stores and hatcheries sell baby chicks and bunnies. Some are even dyed pastel colors

I didn't know they still did this. It was a big thing when I was a kid (of course they were baby dinosaurs then ;-) )
but actually we had a duckling that grew to be a great pet for a number of years, and the chicks we gave to my great grandmother who grew chickens. No one knows how to raise these animals, so they shouldn't buy them. How about seeds to start a flower garden and teach some nature, or plants already blooming that kids can plant? Chocolate is not great either unless it's dark chocolate which is actually good for you, or at the very least Fair Trade. Thanks Cher, this kind of touched a nerve. :-)
