The traditional festival in Stuttgart this year was re-authorized a pony carousel. Again we got to see animals that were under enormous stress. Unenlightened parents with their kids "crashed" on the ponies is actually what some ponies was understandably nervous, because they are flight animals. In addition to visitor noise was the noise of the nearby carousel. One of the ponies was so nervous that it be performed by one of the staff had to prevent that it goes through and therefore a danger to children. The ponies hit with head and tail, and moved some nervous, which clearly shows how much is added to the whole animals. Moreover, all the ponies were buckled throat latch to close.
An additional risk to children is represented by the leather straps, with which the children are "tied" to the saddle of the pony. Is one of the ponies by or buck the animal, the child is in a fall on the side of the belly of the beast. Then the pony can react with panic, the catastrophe is inevitable. By tying this can lead to serious injuries to humans and animals.

Signed. To see a man with a whip in his hand and the parents putting their kids on the ponies made my flesh crawl. That whip could get them hurt or killed. People are so stupid.

done, thanks. I find the noise and people stressful at these type of events. I can only imagine how stressful it would be on ponies who cannot understand why they are there or what is going on. It really has to stop.

Noted & signed. I could tell watching only a couple mins of that video that those horse where not happy. The way they tried to huddle together for protection, obviously wanting away from the loud noises; and the guy with the whip!! So so dangerous for the kids to be strapped or tied to the saddle. Another thing, their reins were tied to the saddle so the poor ponies couldn't even lower their heads for a scratch etc. The only time my horses reins are tight like that is when using a pessoa in training which lasts only 20 mins. once or twice a week. Yet again, man sees a use for these sentient beings to bring in the cash, never mind their welfare.
