Bitter winter winds pushing them forward, the Humane Officers stepped gingerly around the corpses of ponies and chickens as they searched desperately for signs of life. Out of the corner of her eye, one of the officers saw movement. Was it the wind, or

What a great story - I really get this ! ( I love the song choice they made too) - I had one dog who responded very well to Gregorian chants - I think it was the combo effect of gentle harmony and voices. And why not - we respond to music. Happy to hear Nunzi's has a musical heart and is thriving well!

I cannot imagine what dreadful things these poor creatures must have gone through to cause them to be so frightened. It is lovely to hear that they are now finding some comfort.

I know we legitimately eat them, but there's no need to deliberately abuse such animals. Humane slaughter and basic amenities while they are bred should be the rule. What was that farm they were rescued from, victim of foreclosure fraud? Sounds to me like we should put pigs in charge of BoA, they'd be more honest.

Thanks so much for this beautiful story. I can not imaging what Nunzi had been through but I am glad that now he is happy. Any animals have right to live happily as much as we all do.

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a wonderful, entertaining, suspenseful story with such a lovely ending. Indra and her helpers are saints and angels. Makes me feel tiny in comparison. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Bless you a thousand times over. Nunzi must have received some horrible treatment at the hands of humans to scream so long and loud. How wonderful that he has at last found peace. A lucky little piggie if there ever was one.

What a fabulous human being and a great story. I wondered about the situation these pigs came from, but kind of glad not to have to read that story. I hope the person responsible for all that death is dead themselves and living through all the pain and suffering he put these animals through every day that he is in hell.
