noted...thanks Cher. I wonder..what the hell do we have shelters for if the animals in need of the care they provide are being neglected?? Shame on those who are paid to assist/aid in the care for animals and do nothing. The shelter in this story is a poor excuse as one.

Let's get this one shut down and the parties involved prosecuted. Thank you.

Glad this was brought into the open and someone had the guts to make sure the animals got justice. I think the Board of Directors for the shelters are the ones behind a lot of these decisions. They are only interested in the financial aspect and not the lives of animals.

Ryan Long shelter manager is a revolting lazy jerk.He has been deleting emails without reading them from myself and many other over the last fortnight. We have sent many to him but he keeps deleting these. He is incompetent fool and MUST have his employment terminated immediately.
This disgusting so called San Bernardino shelter has killed several pets over the last few weeks that have been arranged to be rehomed by individuals and rescue groups.

These people need to be brought before a judge on animal cruelty and the directors of this facility must be idiots. How can they do this to animals placed in their care? Charge them.

Awareness is nice but just a first step. Any petitions regarding this? Anyone know how to get started?

How heartbreaking for the animals, they are innocent victims. These poor babies have been through so much and then have to go through more is so wrong. They are such wonderful companions and deserve so much better than what they got.

Shame on that shelter for neglecting the poor dog, a shelter is suppose to be a safe haven for the innocent animals that are abused, not a hell hole of terror!

Thanks to shelter volunteer Maria Sanchez that took the picture and posted it, that this dog was saved, who knows how many other shelters are doing the same!

This is such a sad story. Shelters are supposed to protect these little souls. I do not understand how people can be so uncaring.

I support CAPS. Kudos to them for bringing this horrible situation to the public's attention and helping these truly helpless animals.

CAPS is terrific. There was a similar situation in a big shelter in Ontario a couple of years ago. The ED was making very poor choices. The Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals intervened, but there was a long court battle that used up money that should have gone to help animals. It is sickening to hear of such abuses.

Ryan Long supposed shelter manager is an absolute incompetent lazy uncaring arsehole. He is deleating all formal emails without reading them. This is against the "code of conduct."
Terminate their vile arseholes employment.Actually It would make my decade if Ryan Long was terminated ie euthanized slowly and painfully!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
