I had never heard of FIV+ - thanks for explanation and other info! Very interesting and I will spread it along to the cat owners I know! Thanks!

Leave them alone. They know exactly what they're doing. They are under obligation not to place the general population at any risk and to be totally transparent with adopters about the special circumstances involved in adopting a FIV+ cat.

over the years I have only lost one to this, and he is missed greatly!! all my other rescues have tested negative
