Those creeps should be dumped in a cage, naked and unarmed, with some hungry tigers.

Now, India has a wonderful opportunity to make an example of what penalities will occur if you are caught poaching. If their penalities are not sever enough, poachers will still consider taking the risk.

They must give these poachers a harsh penalty for doing this and show all the Indian people its not acceptable to do this otherwise they will think its ok and they have to stop the poaching

noted thanks

Tiger poachers should be staked out for tiger food. End of problem.

So, what happened to the poachers? Why weren't they shot on sight as they knew what they were doing was illegal? This would render immediate justice, send a message to others who might interested in persuing this line of work, and avoid repeats by those already vested. Cash reward for snitches might also work.

Now that they have spilled their guts and the authorities have gotten all the information they need from them, kill them.

Two caught just to be caught again and again. I agree with most. "Shoot to kill" all poachers. No other way to stop them.

I hope they end up in jail for a long time. They should round up all the gang members and put them in jail. They really need harsh penalties. I don't know how they can stop them..maybe cut off their hands.

Such violent comments, not that I don't agree with them; I just wish there was a way to get through to these people. Can you imagine waking every day to a lush, green, jungle, right outside your sliding glass door, and catching glimpses of a tiger or tigress as it sauntered under a huge bush in your backyard? My heart would jump into my mouth as I hid behind the door, daring not to breathe, for fear I would scare the handsome tiger away....

We can only hope the rest of the gang is caught and then they're all thrown in jail, for a long, long time.

Poachers must be stopped they are foolish and greedy and are killing Natural Treasures. Agreed BarbKnightSunshinecatLady, but I would toss them into a dingy dank dungeon for the rest of their days and leave it at that.

Yeah!! a glimmer of hope in stopping poachers. However, i certainly don't think they should be staked out for tigers to eat. Can you imagine the badness they would ingest. It would also add a bad image to tigers repuations. Throw them in a dungeon.. perhaps they should hold the whole family accountable for the poaching and punish them all for collusion

...I read the article but I have one important question-->what was done with the poachers who were "caught"? A "slap on the wrist" or were they charged with animal cruelty, among other possible charges, or just given a lecture? I, for one , would like to know the ENTIRE outcome! The ONLY way to stop poaching is if AUTHORITIES get serious and DO something about it! Catching poachers and reporting about it does nothing--->make them suffer serious consequences for their actions...then, and only then, will we be able to put a stop to this heinous act!

Noted! Poachers and buyers should have to face a firing squad within 24 hours of being caught! Maybe that would send the poachers a message! " Is killing one of these animals worth your life? That is what it will cost you if you poach!"
