Cat Dreams - Can We Interpret Them?

Anyone who has had a cat around for any length of time knows that cats do dream. Their whiskers and paws twitch away - some even sleepwalk. Part of the fun of having a sleepy cat is wondering what on earth they are dreaming about.

I loved this, but still doubt that we can really ever know what a cat thinks or dreams.

You are welcome, Cher, my pleasure.

I know that my mistress Ragamuffin dreams. From time to time I see her paws wiggling when she is sleeping. Must be dreaming that she is chasing a squirrel or chipmunk - or beating the **** out of a dog (which she has done on at least one occasion).

It has been my experience, the older the cat, the more it dreams. I have watched older cats, throw their paws out, make noises, and roll onto their backs. Are they dreaming of their past?
