People Lack Understanding About Animals

Most people don't realize animals think or feel, or that they are often logical and extremely communicative. Constantly amazed at how ignorant my fellow humans are about animals. Yet humans attribute the ignorance to the animals rather than to themselves.

Of course animals are communicative!
There are times when I can look into
my 7 yr.old daughter Bibb's eyes (kitty-cat),
and know EXACTLY what she's thinking and
saying to me.
In a conversation with a dear friend this
past weekend, I was telling her how much I
pity people who will never have the kind of
relationship with animals that I have had all
my life. They will never know what they're
missing, and it is surely their loss.

Thanks, Cher,
noted.

Thats a very true statement. Humans have a very bad habit of being "supreme thinkers" and even look "down" at their own species. Until that superior thought is cast from our culture, other life forms will never be treated as equals. Humans must first treat "one another" as equals, and sadly that has yet to happen. I have loved animals with the same equalness as humans. Maybe its because I think I'm part monkey. Thanks Cher, read and noted.

I've always been respectful of animals but before joining Care2 they were just animals. Now.....I see them as being equal to us and in many respects supreme to our so called intelligence.

Ron I agree with your thinking.................And, if man would slide off his intellectual pedestal the animals would fair so much better than they do...........

There isn't any difference between an ant or a whale to me. These are living creature who go about their business and man steps in and ruins all of what they know, and man knows nothing of their hearts and souls.

Plant life......................Plant trees.........For the animals....................

Anyone that spends time with pets or observes them in the wild can see that animals understand a lot more than we think - and with heightened senses, ones that we have never developed - they understand more than we do.

A guest on the Today Show said that's what separates us from animals is that humans form emotional bonds. But that's untrue. She obvioulsy hasn't spent time with animals. They're amazing!!!

I prefer spending time with my animals than people. Animals have more sensitivity, love and gentleness than any person I have ever met. They don't have an "agenda" of why they befriend you. They just love you to love you.
Man is the evil and hateful being that needs to be tamed and taught how to love.
