As concerns mount among birdwatchers that the familiar sparrow is seen less and less in recent years, the Wild Bird Society of Japan's Tokyo branch has decided to perform detailed bird censuses over the next 10 years to help shed light on what's happening

The poor birdies are having their battles with
man. We chop down trees like no tomorrow.
The birds need the trees to make their nests.

I feed the birds on my window sill......Poor little
things do not have the natural feeding elements
as they once did in a real forested area which now
is all covered up with tat & cement!

Plant & protect trees for life.........
