Some medical institutions are refusing to treat patients who have been evacuated from areas near a quake- and tsunami-hit nuclear power plant unless they show certificates that they have not been exposed to radiation.

People who have been exposed to radiation, should be the first to be treated !

People who may have been exposed to radiation need medical help. My heart goes out to the traumatised Japanese people and the animals too. It's a horrible situation. Nuclear power carries too big a price. It will only be viable for maybe 100 years, but will leave a legacy to our planet and all those to came after us for at least 100,000 years. What a hellish and terrifyingly dangerous testament. No to nuclear power.

Like that adage .... they came to take X (which wasn't me) and I let them. Then came to take Y (which wasn't me) and I let them. They came to take Z (which wasn't me) and I let them. They came to take me and there was nobody to stop them.
So people at the medical institutions are not going to be treated when the radiation reaches them.

Wow that really craps on the Hippocratic oath, to ease suffering, and to do no harm.
