Escaped Flamingo Avoids Capture, Outwits Zealous Zoo Workers

Staff in charge of animal breeding at the Asahiyama Zoo in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, are having many sleepless nights this summer due to concern for a greater flamingo that escaped from the zoo on July 18.

I am of the opinion that all of the zoological system may need tp look at their system so as to pevent further escapes.

i totally agree with kate K. leave the animals in their natural habitats....the bird was free and that probably made him very happy!!!!!

Noted and thank you for the artcicle. I hope the bird is still ok. They killed two other Flamingo trying to catch it. How sad is that?
