Ghastly attacks on Christians mocked as "Crusaders" in Syria continued unabated as Jihadists reportedly forced one man to convert to Islam at gunpoint and slit the throat of another Christian woman's fiancé and then told her, "Jesus didn't come to save him."

Residents who fled from the ancient town of Maalula in Syria told AFP that jihadists ambushed the town last week and forced a man to convert to Islam at gunpoint.

"They arrived in our town at dawn... and shouted 'We are from the Al-Nusra Front and have come to make lives miserable for the Crusaders," said one woman identified as Marie in Damascus, where many people from Maalula fled after rebels first attacked that town on Sept. 4.

One of the most renowned Christian towns in Syria, many of Maalula's approximately 5,000 residents speak Aramaic, the language Jesus spoke. Rebels want to tighten their control of the town for its strategic value as a launching point to level attacks on the highway between the capital and Homs, a key regime supply route.

On Tuesday, Marie and hundreds of others in exile in Damascus, attended the burial of three Christian pro-regime militiamen who were killed in fighting.

Adnan Nasrallah, 62, told AFP that an explosion destroyed an archway just across from his house that leads into Maalula during the fighting last week.

"I saw people wearing Al-Nusra headbands who started shooting at crosses," the Christian senior told the AFP. One of the shooters, he said, "put a pistol to the head of my neighbor and forced him to convert to Islam by obliging him to repeat 'there is no God but God'...Afterwards they joked, 'he's one of ours now'."

Nasrallah said he operated a restaurant, called Maalula, in the State of Washington in the U.S. for 42 years when he decided to return to Syria shortly before the uprising erupted in Syria in March 2011.

"I had a great dream. I came back to my country to promote tourism. I built a guesthouse and spent $2,000 installing a windmill to provide electricity in the town…My dream has gone up in smoke. Forty-two years of work for nothing," he lamented.

He said when the rebels came to town, his Muslim neighbors rejoiced. His sister Antoinette disputed that story, however, saying the people rejoicing were refugees from out of town.

Another Maalula resident, Rasha said the jihadists brutally murdered her fiancé Atef, who was a part of the town's militia.

"I rang his mobile phone and one of them answered," she said.

"Good morning, Rashrush," a voice answered, calling her by her nickname according to AFP. "We are from the Free Syrian Army. Do you know your fiancé was a member of the shabiha (pro-regime militia) who was carrying weapons, and we have slit his throat?"

Rasha said the man told her Atef was asked to denounce his faith and convert to Islam and he refused.

"Jesus didn't come to save him," the rebel taunted.

In most religions, those who did not want to die but do so because of the enemy's hand are martyrs.

Only in the most sick and disturbed ideology are people who try to commit suicide and murder called martyrs when they succeed.

This incident, very tragic, is so typical of Muslims. There seems to be -- on a widespread scale -- the love and lust for blood, murder and enjoying it as it happens.

People need to realize the 1.6 Billion strong perverse enemy we are up against and defeat it.

What a funny joke! Boy those Muslims are just full of great pranks, aren't they? Aren't they just the funniest? Jesus didn't come and save him? Hilarious, right?

Yes, if you have the mind of a Nazi. Islam and Nazism share a lot of disgusting things in common, especially extensive Nazi support of the Muslim Brotherhood and the mutual adulation of both.

It's coming here, folks. This president has let unprecedented numbers of Muslims into this country and he keeps trying for more, along with his dear friend Eric Hell Holder.

Think these things just happen in Syria? No, they happen wherever there are enough Muslims to accomplish the job. It's happening in most of the world where that is true, and it's coming to a theatre near you. Except it's live theatre, and you'll be on the stage.

Now that is just so funny. Not really, huh?

We are hearing more about the atrocities that Muslims perpetrate against non-Muslims because it is a war zone and there are reporters there (although one usually has to take what they say with a large packet of salt). This kind of atrocity is, as Lee says, happening world wide and no-one seems to care.

The Middle Eastern Muslim controlled countries are committed ethnic cleansing, G-d forbid that anyone should condemn it yet the UN takes the time to yell at Israel because someone looked at a "Palestinian" cross eyed!! They fail to yell at any of the Muslim controlled countries that deliberately ill treat their own "Palestinians" and refuse them the legal requirements of citizenship of the country in which they are born despite being 4 generations on.

Then we turn to Africa, have you heard of that continent? The Christian suffering there is incredible but, again, silence rules world wide.

And now we have to turn to Europe as hate crimes and rape climbs through the roof with large no-go areas and the forcing of Jews out of Scandinavia and other countries as well as the residents being unable to live in their own homes in peace.

This atrocity is symptomatic of what is wrong with Islam so why is everyone quiet on the subject? Why does anyone want to help Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood (who are actually worse than Assad) take over. We already know that they are destroying churches and killing Christians who were protected under Assad's rule. We can see what will happen because we only have to look at Egypt and other Muslim controlled countries. We can admire the 20 million slaves, the human trafficking and paedophilia which is rampant there to know how little they care about human rights and/or suffering.

That is right, Lee. This president has supported the Muslim Brotherhood in an enormous number of ways. He thinks they are "moderate" or more likely pretends that he thinks that they are.

Did you know that most of Al Qaeda's leaders have come directly and seamlessly from the Muslim Brotherhood?

As the Egyptians who protested against Morsi and Obama said on their protest signs, "Al Qaeda is the military wing of the Muslim Brotherhood."

We should not be supporting anything that has the slightest odor of the Muslim Brotherhood. They are a totalitarian group which wants all people everywhere under Sharia.

Not only that, but Obama and Holder have remained conspicuously and deathly quiet about the rights and the increasing plight against the rights and lives of Christians, even as they are raped, imprisoned, tortured, their churches burned down, killed, forced to convert. This doesn't make it on the administrations humanitarian list of things to be addressed forcefully and immediately.

But tell a Muslim woman that she can't wear her hijab in a upscale store in the States, and you would think Eric Holder has changed into his "Super Muslim Champion" suit, and it's OK for Jewish students to be intimidated and injured by Muslim students and their friends on the left on college campuses across the country. It's OK that Catholic colleges are threatened with lawsuits if the Muslims don't get their own prayer room and all the crucifixes aren't taken down out of the classrooms because they make Muslims uncomfortable.

We have a truly frightening administration in charge who is selling out the freedoms of the American people. We have to pray that the damage can be reversed once he is out of office.

Now he wants to bomb the Syrians which will put the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda in charge.

'Jesus didn't come to save him' - what a dumb remark to make - still what do we expect from people who do not even know the meaning of compassion and love. Do we expect Jesus to keep popping in and out every time there is conflict on our planet? We were given Free Will. Stop the blame game and start living like caring humans. This Earth that we share is a school for learning. This is not the reality. The REALITY IS GOD'S KINGDOM THAT WE WILL ALL ASPIRE TO, ONE DAY. ON THAT DAY WE WILL CONFRONT OUR SINS.

Jesus was there and took his martyr in his loving arms.

I know. Because of my beliefs I once had to endure an inquisition . It was done by Christians and was invasive. I so felt the presence of my Creator. I was so calm. I was actually making jokes. It was HIS presence. I felt not a tinge of fear. Not even when the pastor said that I should be burned. He directed them to go to their cars. He said, "We'll probably need three to handle her."

The Christians there said "We are NOt GOING TO DO THAT." And one of them said, "She would probably be making jokes all the way." Right on!

They found me innocent of the trumped up charges and called me a saint.
That I ain't. lol

The presence of Yahshua (Jesus) was felt by the jury and the Judge who said, "I can not judge Jesus who died for me."

The loving Christian God gives peace when Christians are on trial or are murdered for their faith. If you check out the Book of Martyrs, you will find Christians were joyous and obviously in little if any pain. These are true martyrs.

I am not worthy to be in their company.

Mocking is part of the deviant acts of tormenters. Atheist Communists did it to Christians, and still do. Nazis did it to Jews. Muslims do it to Christians. It is characteristic of tormenters. In the case of Islam, tormenting is integral to the deviant ideology.

As for Jesus coming to save the man, I will cite Daniel 3:16-18:

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Followers of YHVH realize that God may not intervene to spare physical life in every situation. But regardless if God chooses to or not has nothing to do with His ability to intervene. The Muslim tormenters "Jesus didn't come to save him" line is like those who say "if God is real let him instantly turn this dollar in my pocket into a trillion dollars. See, it is still a dollar, therefore God isn't real." It is pure nonsense.

If Muslims were the ones being tormented, the world would be in an uproar, and somehow blame Israel in the process. But because it is Christians being tormented, hardly a peep from the world. When Jews are murdered by Muslims, hardly a peep from the world. But let a Muslim say someone looked at him / her funny and the world throws a fit.

If this were puppies or kittens being treated this way, there would be an outcry on this site, and many, many people calling for action to bring the perpetrators to justice and put a stop to this cruel behavior,(as there should be.)I do not understand why that is not so when it is our fellow human beings who are being treated this way.I hope and pray that these people will find healing and comfort.Again, any actions that I can take for these people,I will be more than happy to do so if I am informed.I want to help, and will if there is a way.

I've hesitated to say so, but I have really prayed and I'm no longer afraid.

A few weeks ago, perhaps, Yahoo News carried a message from the occupant of the white house.

He said that if anyone in a social column were to say anything that "inflamed the Muslims" they would be "punished".

Perhaps, that is your answer, holly.

I much admire the folks who are coming out in defense of Christians.

It takes courage.

There is a famous saying attributed to Shakespeare, Hemmingway and perhaps others. In the drama of my life, I have often found it both motivating and sustaining.

A coward dies a thousand deaths. A brave man dies but one.

There's another quote but I don't remember who said it........Courage is not the lack of fear. Courage is feeling the fear and doing it anyway.

I really feel for the man who converted to Islam at gun point. He must feel deep remorse and terror. If he had accepted the gun shot, it would be all over now. He would have given his life for his faith. He would be a true martyr. He might, right well, be dancing a jig. But now.....

Knowing me, if I had "chickened out" I think I'd go out hunting for one of them and give him the gospel. That might not be smart or sufficient, but I would have done what I could do and might be dancing that jig.

I wanted to comment on what Zee posted..(and say Im sorry for what you went thru Zee).
."A few weeks ago, perhaps, Yahoo News carried a message from the occupant of the white house. He said that if anyone in a social column were to say anything that "inflamed the Muslims" they would be "punished".

I would like to know who this occupant is in our white house. I am also not afraid to die, and sometimes welcome the thought after all the crap going on in this world. I wont , however, quit or give up fighting for what I believe in, nor will i purposely hurt another, even if I feel they deserve it because thats for those with no conscience to do.

ALSO, I will NOT keep my opinions to myself, as I live in the United States of America and I will say WHAT I WANT, WHERE I WANT, WHEN I WANT as I have that right. (Until thats taken from us like the 4th and 5th amendments, and even then I would probably say what i wanted anyhow)..

From what I understand about the Muslim faith, they encourage violence and dont care who they kill as they believe they will get their rewards for the more mayhem they cause. IMO, THATS SICK and TWISTED and it needs to be stopped. Its damn scary that its taking over the world. Perhaps its the GMOS, air/water pollution, toxins in everything? or maybe people just LIKE the idea of terrorizing others and add a bit of mob mentality and its a free for all. So your gonna punish me for MY opinion in MY country when Im not hurting anyone? BRING IT.

As far as that poor guy 'converting'..God and Jesus know he just spoke words that he didnt mean and what is in his head and his heart cannot be changed. he did what he had to to survive. I do agree with Zee though, if he took the shot, it would be over and he would be at peace and in the next faze of his spirits evolution

Religion is the cause of most the horrors on this planet and its all based on fear and control.

Dear Gina,

Thank you for asking who is the Occupant in the White House. He's also known by me as O Bummer! lol
Of course it's OBummer er Obama. I'm glad you asked because it may be of interest to others.

I am also with Capitol Hill Prayer Partners. It's on the internet. I take it from the internet because if I formally join, they will ask me for money. Everybody asks for money it seems. Capitol Hill Prayer Partners keeps us posted on what is going on in the governments both America and Israel. It's a long list of reading but it sure keeps me informed.

They have let us know they welcome our prayers and our joining in the fasting for our countries. We don't have to join. As you know, there's a lot of power in praying together. That's what we do. You might want to go to Capitol Hill Prayer Partners and check it out. They don't refer to OBumer as president, They call him Occupant of the White House. I love it.

I don't go to church. I have learned the history of the church under Constantine, and Augustine. Power/Money rulers who created a compulsory religion from a mixture of Christian and Pagan. Hell is a mistranslation of scripture and is (forever and never ending torture) that's of Pagan origin and was to scare the people into given money and submission and money and submission and.......

Neither the Christians nor the Pagans wanted it but this new created religion created to control the people was by compulsion. Do it or Die. The site Tentmaker also goes into the mistranslations of the Bible which
commands you to believe a teaching that is not the gospel Yahshua (Jesus) taught.

It does amaze me that as hard as the power/money people tried to alter scripture to their own ends, the real truth is still there. Like Paul said, The letter of the law killeth but the spirit maketh alive. Unfortunately, in our churches we are taught that any interpretation of scripture apart from that of the church is heresy. Don't think. Just open your brain and let them pour it in. Yes, I am angry at the blatant treachery of the dark powers.

And yet, the message is still there.

If you like to think for yourself and shake off implanted ideas like fleas, you would probably enjoy Tentmaker, especially Scholar's Corner.

Thank you. I'm flexing my muscles. I'm not scared anymore. I wasn't scared when I was under an inquisition by the church. It was one of the happiest times of my life. Rejoice and be glad for your reward in heaven is great, Yahshua (Jesus) said. Jesus is Greek. I thanked them and thanked the pastor. When they started and I saw what was happening, I was exclaiming, "Thank you. Thank you. You're making me rich forever and ever and ever. Thank you."

The pastor said "Shut up." ROFLOL

Allan, what *SOMETHING* is Mr. Obama supposed to do? The majority of Americans didn't want him to strike Syria for a blatant violation of the international standard for conduct of war, they didn't want the U.S. *going to war* (although that wasn't his intention), and they want the U.S. to stay out of everyone's else's business.
Yet, he's somehow expected to stop militant religious extremism because that DOES offend us?
Nobody wants to get involved, they just hope SOMEONE will stop it. That's why the problem has become so overwhelming around the entire world. No one is willing to stand up to the jihadists.
You can't have it both ways.

Barbara, he could speak out or ask the UN representative to do so in a session, assuming she can get a word in during the multiple castigations of Israel.

It is the silence of all governments on this subject that encourages and allows them to ethnically cleanse the Middle East. It is a form of genocide as the Muslims rape, abuse, rob, forcibly convert and murder Christians. Note that some 100 years ago some 20% of the population in the Middle East were Christian and now it is less than 5%. It is a great concern that NO-ONE, including the Pope, says anything.

I don't expect Obama to invade Egypt unless he thought that he could re-instate Morsi, but I do expect him to speak out. Sadly, Obama is unlikely to a fellow Muslim

I have read the Holy Bible from cover-to-cover three times, and some sections—for example, Psalms and Revelation—hundreds of or several times.

Islam is the ideology the two beasts share. They globally attack and murder thousands upon thousands of Christians and non-Muslims throughout the world.

In the Book of Revelation, the slain or beheaded—depending on what translation one studies—are before the Throne of the God in white robes. And … When those in white robes ask the Lord to take revenge for their deaths, He informs them that they will have to wait until the rest of their brethren are killed or persecuted. Then, and only then, He promises to seek revenge for the death of His people.

For Islam, an ideology developed in the early seventh century, to mirror the ideology of the Antichrist in Revelation, a book written several centuries before the existence of Islam and the Koran, I feel and truly expect THE Second Coming of the Lord.

Noted, tweeted, shared, read article, tweeted and shared. This isn't religion; it's hate. Something is missing in people who kill without any reason except to appease themselves and a concept that God would want this.More than sick; totally twisted. If there is a God, he wouldn't be happy with what is being done in his name. I believe there is a God; I believe he is crying.

This week Muslims broke into an agricultural school in Nigeria and slaughtered forty young men in their beds for learning "evil" western education. Well, here's hoping they starve since they're too damned stupid to learn proper farming in their own countries. They can't even keep a small garden plot alive to feed their own families! All they can do is destroy. How many Islamic countries are self sufficient in feeding themselves adequately? Very few. Why? Because modern farming techniques are evil western ways. What a bunch of fools. We in the west should not sent them relief food because the soldiers get it first, then the men, then the women and children. When we send food to some of these places who really gets it? Seldom those who need and deserve it. Very sad.
