Short takes on some stories inspiring outrage worthy of the Greek Furies.

Alecto is a little late if she wants to unleash her wrath after 10 years of FBI tracking and spying on SOA Watch, but as they now also have broadened their attention to include Back Lives Matter. The FBI hides behind words like tracking and spying, but what really happens is intimidation of SOA Watch and protecting those that are protested again: SOA itself. And we thought the CIA was bad enough.

Megaera may have a tough job on her hands to get charter schools in line as they are a great favorite of Republicans, those who are not afraid to tell a lie when it suits their purpose and have no problem turning a blind eye to the fraud and manipulation by their fellow Republicans to keep the impression that all's well within the charter schools afloat. Even Megeara may have some trouble to straighten it out, and may opt to finish the whole charter school project altogether.

I doubt if Tisiphone can muster enough rage to exceed the rage many of us feel after reading about this tragedy. The article asks: "Could it be that Greenhouse and the three other officers involved in the stop were abusing their authority to harass a man for being protective of his fiancée?". Apparently so, and the author indicates that this was not the first time that happened (Greenhouse and Stafford had an atrocious history that should have ended their careers in law enforcement far before they were able to murder a child.) However, there's no link to any source that could substantiate this, so Tisiphone, like us, must wait and hope the truth is revealed in the courts when these men are brought to trial for this atrocious murder of an child

The Furies would do well in today's society.

*Greek-Gods Info*: The Erinyes were persecuting crimes such as disrespect, injustice, perjury or arrogance and-first and foremost- murder, especially the murder inside a family. Their lust of punishment knew no bounds, for they kept punishing a sinner even after his death, until he finally would show remorse.

Great post, Joanne, Thank you.

Good idea with the Furies, Joanne. :-) Those 3 candidates for their wrath are most deserving!

The "right-wing" mindset of thinking and attitude seems to be very wary of its "left-wing" counterpart.
