One of my favorites was "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies," but I am always amazed at the creativity – and dedication – shown at this event.

Carnauba wax is one ot the few substances you can allow near your fine musical instruments, such as (acoustic, wood) guitars, violins, cellos, etc. I would not worry about eatinfga little.

Mike and Ike is (are?) widely available, but there are so many branded candies now, it's hard to be aware of any specific brand unless you are looking for it. Check movie theaters.

Now I am hungry.

Joanne: Mike and Ike are oblong fruit-flavored chewy candies that come in several colors and varieties, including cherry, orange, lime, lemon, and strawberry. Popular varieties are Tropical Typhoon, Berry Blast and Jolly Joes. Each candy has 7 calories, 0 grams of fat, and approximately 1 gram of sugar. The candy is kosher and gluten-free. Savor the flavor, they're quite good, actually.
Here's a Peeps Online page for you:

I saw a box of Mike and Ike once but didn't have any - some co-workers were giving a baby shower for another co-worker and they came up with a "concentration" type game where we took turns trying to match words or phrases randomly located. I matched "hospital bill" and won a "100Grand" bar. A box of "Mike and Ike" was the prize for matching "Twins."

I like your candy story Joanne--mine is tame with someone I went to the movies with buying a box...

I have never heard of PEEPS! I googled PEEPS and found that they are sold in Canada, likely at WalFart. I may just have to break my vow and check them out at WalFart.

Great trivia piece Nameless.

Arrrggghhh… sugar overload. No, just kidding, though I'm not in the least tempted to try them, my teeth start to ache just reading about these sugary peeps.

But thank you for the lovely information and presentation, Nameless. We don't have peeps over here and I love to learn about specialties and customs from other countries. And I liked the look in Drumpf's head. It's as I suspected: no brain.

I LOVE these dioramas, and I hadn't seen all of these yet. A few of you may have received the message I sent around with my C2nn link Sat. that had a pic of a peeps diorama. I don't eat peeps, but I did when I was little. I don't eat sugar anymore, but they used to be yummy. They make the cutest displays. Thanks for posting, Joanne!
