A post by SoINeedAName on TomCat's blog. Some feel-good stories which often get lost in all the fuss, bother, and worry - but which are too good to lose.

Nameless, thank you so much for this.  It's so easy for us to glance at and pass by these stories, and yet we need them so much.  Progressives cannot survive on outrage alone.

Particularly with regard to the Royal Wedding, I doubt of too many Americans of pinky beige hue have a clue how much - how can I say this - special joy the wedding and all the circumstances surrounding it brought to Americans who are black and brown.  Denise Oliver Velez, a woman whose education and accomplishments make me look like a third-grade dropout, and all those who commented on her observations, may begin to give an idea of how the wedding looked from that viewpoint.  I realize you saw it, but for anyone who didn't, I believe it's worth a look.

Thanks again.

George Zimmerman: gawd, isn't Karma a glorious thing?

Kudos to Ms. CEO Martha Fuerstenau, how awesome for her to do this.

Sweet loving Hi 5's to the garbage collectors, and to this little one. How simply adorable!!

It was a lovely wedding, wasn't it? Loved that they donated the flowers, it certainly make Mrs. Clayton's day, for sure. How sweet!

Oh, the Kingdom Choir's rendition of 'Stand By Me', and the cellist,
Sheku Kanneh-Mason's performances made me well up with tears. How simply beautiful !!!!

Great post, Nameless, Thank YOU!

Great post, Nameless. It really lifted my spirits, and that is no small feat considering how heavy they’d become after the endless foul mud stream emanating from DC.

Zimmerman: It’s ‘Schadenfreude’, I know, but it sure feels good.

Martha Fuerstenau: Kudos to you, lady, and double Kudos for not giving yourself a raise.

Kyler: You didn’t only steal the hearts of those garbage men, but you stole mine too. May your friendships last forever.

Wedding: Have to pass on that one. I’ll leave it to John Oliver, shall I?

I still think garbage men are great, but when I was about 2 I apparently wandered from home following them....found around the block "just watching" when my parents felt it was time to come home....they just gently watched me watch them.......

Sorry, Oliver not funny at all.

i don’t normally go for any weddings but i watched this one partly because it was held at the magnificent Windsor, i watched the commentator free version (the Royal Family’s live feed), i understand she was extremely joyous but if i had to watch it with that woman’s ramblings, well i wouldn’t have watched.

TY Joanne

Enjoyed the video showing the friendship of the little Kyler and the garbage men.
I didn't watch the entire wedding..What I did I like. Especially the sermon by Bishop Michael Curry.. Nice to see some goodness happening in the world, something that we haven't seen much of here in the U.S. Plus they way they showed their kindness with donating the flowers to Mrs. Clayton,
Thanks Joanne
