Did a New Poll Showing Congress With 9% Approval Spur Pelosi to Put Impeachment Back on the Table?

....a new Rasmussen poll released on Tuesday that found approval of Congress at 9 percent, which is essentially a statistical zero. (And why is it that we have so many members of that 9% right here on Care2? Political party operatives?)

I don't get it. And this was a mainstream poll. So why are so many people who diapprove of Congress willing to vote for Members of Congress to be President? Willing to vote to continue the institution of Congress? Will to vote in rigged elections for whatever dregs the political parties offer them?

Don't vote -- it only encourage's 'em. It also legitimizes them and gives the a blank check to do whatever they want. It makes it look like people support them and that they are democratically elected and have been carrying out our will.

No in November

Why are people voting in rigged elections they don't like, for candidates they don't like, who will carry out policies they don't like? Are we a nation of masochists or what?

Watch closely now... Bush's move. Will he be sacrificed so that either McCain or Obama can come thundering in to save the plans of America's paymasters' for the middle east? I'm betting he will but it's anybody's game (so long as they are preselected to play) at this point.

The Article closes by stating that Bush "invaded Iraq and occupies it to this day, at the cost of 4,116 lives of US service men and women, injuries to over 30,000 of our troops, the deaths of over 1 million innocent Iraqi civilians, the destruction of Iraq, and a long term cost over $3 trillion."

True, this does not rise to the level of a sex lie about a blowjob, but it at least deserves a hearing.

Who care about the level of a "blow job". I don't. A blow job is at the bottom of the heap when you compare it with what the corrupt pukes, big corporations, big media, military-industrial have done to this country and to the rest of the world. I care about the moneys spent, lives lost, treasonable acts, Constitution and Bill of Rights stomping and shredding, corruption and so on.

Actually, there is no comparison. A blow job vs. High Treason. Get real.

The pukes made a big issue out of a blow job that the country saw Republican-controlled Congress in such bad odor with the public. The Democrats hold a very narrow edge in Congress but they and others must realize what bush and his cronies have done: ..."to fraudulently obtain support for an authorization of the use of military force against Iraq." plus continuous lies, total disregard for the American Citizens, constitution, Bill of Rights, and in numerous other areas as well. The selling of our country to Saudi Arabia and China.

The Democrats are afraid of looking bad with the public as are a few republicans.

Congress needs to wake up and take action. The American people need to speak out, take action, now, more than ever. IMPEACH. Try bush and other cronies for crimes.

Maybe it is time to NOT legitimize either candidate for "president". Maybe it is time to stop giving our consent in voting for representation when, in fact, any candidate up for election may not represent us citizens anymore.

Maybe it is time to think and re-think about " No in November ".

TY, Mark.

The best comment I heard about the Clinton scandal: You don't want a President who isn't getting any...

I agree with Jim, there is no comparison.

Frankly Jessica, it matters not. The issue has been decided. The public is being allowed to go to the polls so that they will feel a part of the process, just as in the past. And...just as in the past, it won't matter a bit. (I will refer you to the 2000 and 2004 elections.)

Thank you Mark. (I am too tired to try to educate people.)

I am not asking this question in a sarcastic way...I honestly don't know....here goes; If we impeach Bush will that make Cheney President? Also, is it true that if Bush gets us into a bonified war, we cannot hold an election during wartime? I am stumped, ignorant too much so on our Constitution and checks and balances within the government (I am not proud to admit any of that). Could someone enlighten me please?

If we impeach Bush, Cheney becomes President.

If we impeach Cheney, Nancy Pelosi becomes President.

You cannot START a bona fide war. A bona fide war is a war of defense, not a war of aggression (a war of aggression is an illegal war, a war crime, and a crime against humanity). The only way to have a bona fide war is if somebody else starts it.

We can have elections during a bona fide war. There were elections during WWII, a war we did not start.

As for the Constitution, it was deeply flawed to begin with and did not give us either a democracy or a republic, and it did not ensure to us the unalienable rights the writers of the Declaration of Independence fought for. Here are a few (but far from all) of the flaws in our Constitution:

It does not allow us to vote directly for President or Vice-President. Only Electors of the Electoral College can do that. ELECTORS???? If we're not electors, why are we voting?

It does not allow the ultimate power to rest in the hands of the people, but in the hands of the Supreme Court. How can the highest law of the land be a patronage position in a democracy?

It does not allow us to impeach or recall a President, Vice-President, or Member of Congress even if they eat live babies on prime time TV. Only Congress can do that. In a republic, a democratic form of government where the people exercise their power through their representative, the people would be able to remove officials who failed to represent them. Our Constitution allows us neither a democracy nor a republic.

It was written by wealthy elites so that wealthy elites would always rule, because they didn't trust the people. If the people had any real power, they might vote themselves food, clothing, shelter, jobs, education, health care, and a host of other things that the wealthy elite have a monopoly on and don't want the state to interfere with.

I don't fear the people, no matter how ignorant, hateful, or corrupt they may be. In a citizen-owned transparent participatory democracy, everything is done openly. Knowing ourselves to be as corrupt as the next SOB, we have to do everything openly so that we can keep an eye on each other. That way there is no temptation for us to succumb to, because we know that we would if we could. But we can't allow power to be funneled into the hands of a few, the way that money is in a capitalist society. It has to be distributed so that nobody has too much of it and gets corrupted by it.

Iyr Constitution is inherently undemocratic because it gave us neither a democracy nor a republic, but an oligarchy. And that oligarchy has become so corrupted with power that it has turned into a fascist tyranny. Not "almost." We ALREADY meet all fourteen points of fascism.

We need a Constitution that does exactly what the Declaration of Independence said is our inalienable right and duty to establish, a government of, by, and for the people. Our Constitution does not and was not designed to do that. It was a sell out, and what was sold out was everything that we had fought for. Sadder still, we never even noticed.

There is a movement to establish a true democracy. Read the pledge below and follow the instructions:

The United States government has refused to ensure free, fair, honest, transparent elections, and has ignored clear, regular and widespread evidence of election fraud and deception--the political parties and candidates ask for my vote but cannot ensure that my vote is counted. Once elected, officials no longer take my vote into consideration and cannot be held accountable, so my vote is not a voice in government and therefore not a true vote.

The United States government is comprised of a President who is in breach of his Presidential oath and of legislators and officials who have passed unlawful and unconstitutional bills and who have placed themselves above the law.

I reaffirm the final authority of the people to grant or to withhold the mandate to govern or enact laws in our name and I withdraw my vote from these compromised and discredited elections. I do not delegate power to any representative to govern or enact laws in my name. I do not consent to unjust government in which I have no voice.

I am voting instead for true government of the people, by the people, and for the people, and to this end I pledge to work with everyone who joins this petition to establish citizen ownership of transparent, participatory democracy.

(Please copy this pledge and circulate it. There is nothing to sign and no group to join, no membership drive, no fundraising, no sponsors, etc., just a citizen-owned movement for transparent participatory democracy. You own it. Make it happen!)

Actually, the greed of the board members of the Federal Reserve, who are attempting a One World Government, with all puppets in place, will be the destruction of this nation. Greed begets greed. Possibly the people of this country are blinded by the 'not so green' dollar and the fact that it is a worthless piece of paper that keeps rolling out of the presses in Washington DC.

We see money being taken out of our paychecks supposedly going into a fund that is going to keep us housed and fed in our old age when we are forced into retirement by corporations who want nothing more than to short us of our pensions. Then feed us tainted food and water to cause an early death, so that we won't know that the money that was sucked out of our paychecks by the black hole of political thievery was never even put into an account for US...but for them!

A cookie jar for fat boys to use for their golfing trips and diplo-whoring travels. The back-patting, good ol boys who laugh because they can drive the sheep wherever the big bad wolf wants them to go.
And we do it...because we are caught up in the machine, and the oil is so slick that all we do is slide further and further down the slippery slope into the black hole of political maneuvering. The political arena is for outside appearances, a legal way for the wealthiest men in the world to control their interests. And the higher up you go...the more vicious it becomes...as in JFK's family discovered.

As far as Blow-job Billy...it wasn't JUST his sexual appetite that was abnormal. There were many things that went on during his presidency that weren't legitimate. There were also suspicious deaths. Just because we were made to believe that the she/he/ 'WE are the president' hilarity team balanced the budget...doesn't mean it was true. The Clintons had a trick about juggling acts.

But ever since the Federal Reserve...which is just two words that mean 'fleecing the sheep', this country has been headed for trouble. Eventually, every juggler drops a jug. And when it hits the concrete, we'll find that there is NOTHING in the jug. It is empty! BANKcorRUPT.

The United States of America was and is bankrupt. It is owned entirely by its creditors.

Excerpted from website link below.
It is not expedient at this time for the international bankers to admit they own everything and could foreclose on this and every other nation in the world. There are too many privately owned guns, uncooperative armies, and other military forces. In order to bring the world to the situation where this fact can be revealed and their foreclosure take place, the bankers need to bring the world under One World Government and consolidate the judiciary into one World Court. The United Nations and George Bush’s New World Order are the mechanism for this One World Government. Recent developments support this contention.

This website explains it quite well.

This is something from Representative McFadden.

"Mr. Chairman, we have in this Country one of the most corrupt institutions the world has ever known. I refer to the Federal Reserve Board and the Federal Reserve Banks, hereinafter called the Fed. The Fed has cheated the Government of these United States and the people of the United States out of enough money to pay the Nation's debt. The depredations and iniquities of the Fed has cost enough money to pay the National debt several times over.

"This evil institution has impoverished and ruined the people of these United States, has bankrupted itself, and has practically bankrupted our Government. It has done this through the defects of the law under which it operates, through the mal-administration of that law by the Fed and through the corrupt practices of the moneyed vultures who control it.

I hope that you all see what has really been the problem...beginning in 1913 with a few private bankers creating a scheme to fleece us, and they are behind credit cards with high interest rates. And something NEW! A REWARDS program! Where they take money out of your credit card account monthly...for a few dollars off on a gift card!

There needs to be a lynching. Anyone with a few billion or more and ALL on the board of directors of the Federal Reserve...should hang from their 'money tree'. Then, and ONLY then will justice be served. Although, it'd be fun to watch a few politicians get TARRED and feathered. That's be the chickenhawks.

President Andrew Jackson once stated in reference to the bankers at the state of his administration: “You are a den of vipers and thieves. I intend to rout you out, and by the Eternal God, I will rout you out.”
