in defense of these national treasures; the power of the people is the only way to counter the cattlemen and other wealthy lobbying groups that want to see mustangs removed from our public lands forever!

It's all beeb heartbreaking to see how these magnificient animals have been treated... trying to help out with Madeleine Perkins as I can and joined another site on Facebook. We need to do everything we can to save the wild mustangs and burros... and little by little, we seem to be gaining ground. Let's keep up the good work!

Bucephala, or Alexandria Bucephalus, was a city founded by Alexander the Great and named in honor of his horse, Bucephalus.

So much he cared for his friend that he gave him that Honor, I have never seen or heard of someone giving that kind of Honor to a Horse, I see the Cruelty in which they are being treated and it just breaks me down in tears, if it was not for the Horse there would be no world, it was with the Horse that people were able to conquered the world, and this is how they them payback by killing their sons and daughters with no remorse, how SHAMEFUL!!!

Thank you very much for posting. I belong to American Wild Horse Preservation campaign, and it saddens and shames me that when I have sent out to friends where I live action alerts or news - it all falls dead in the water. They either do not have the time or care. That's why I am on line here.

What has happened to the world that these wonderful creatures can be treated like this. I will never understand. All life should be respected and we need to do a much better job of caring for the animals. It beaks my heart when I see what is done to animals, it is so wrong and needs to stop.

Gaud, the best thing that can be done for the alien domestic species gone wild is to stop allowing them to breed beyond the environment's ability to sustain them at the expense of the true native wildlife. I have and always will love horses, I grew up with my own, they are truly nobel and magnificent animals. Domesticate animals, that nature removed from the Americas when they did not resemble the animals we see today, the 'wild horses' of the Americas are domesticated livestock, not native species.

Yes, Yes I know the rage and howls that are going to be aimed at me, but hell there were no horses here for the pre-Columbian inhabitants of the Americas and just because we all love them does not make the wild native animals.

Cattlemen already have taken everything from us...the land and waters, the indigenous peoples and bison, wolf...compassion, respect for nature and life. They are subsidized, and this prevents people from using the clean waters, the roaming people an wildlife from freedom and self-determination. What more can they insist upon? Their way of doing things is all greed, and unnatural, and feeding animals things they would never eat on their own! If not subsidized, their poor animals on the plates of the callous would cost a fortune! AS it SHOULD! Taking away from every decent life form is so wrong. Take it back from them, do not give them even more!

I have signed your petitions over the years and will do so again and again. I support the castration and re homing of these God given creatures, but I get so angry with the cattle ranchers who think they are the gods of all.
They have caused so much degradation to much of the native species in too many countries of this planet.
But Stop or cut down on meat consumption and they too will have to follow suit..... think about it!

Tear down the fences and scatter the cattle all over the countryside make the ranchers spend more money to round them up again. Only thing that bothers a rich cattleman is having to spend his money for something he shouldn't have to. Keeping their cost down and raising prices is all they think about. They are grazing on publicly owned land for free and killing all the wildlife where they graze cattle. Only fat Texas oilmen and ranchers like Bush eat steak every day.

We also need to get Ken Salazar out of office. He is a rancher and is siding with the ranchers and not the wildlife. There is a petition for everyone to sign to remove him from office at http://www.petition2congress.com/2710/ken-salazar-secretary-blms-resignation// Plesse sign.
