Wolves are being killed to protect both the Woodlands Caribou and the Mountain Caribou when in both instances they are not to be blamed. The reason for the declining numbers of wolves is the environmental disturbances caused by: Mountain Caribou.

I always find it fascinating that the wolves get the blame all the time. Not the hunters, the loggers, the miners, the higher temperatures that allow ticks to attack unprotected deer, elk and caribou in record numbers, bears or anything else. Just wolves. Noted and signed.

I try to get everyone I know to read the book "Never Cry Wolf" by Farley Mowat. It's very educational and a great read. For all of us who grew up on tales like "Little Red Riding Hood" this book is very eye opening.

preadators are benificial to animals they hunt they take the weakest so only the best healthey animals go on to breed unlike the hunters who only kill the best and fittest look at yourself before blaming the wolves but they are their to be shot at

Why is it that between the Wolf and the Elk, people seem to think that the Wolf is the one that is going to attack first. Do you realize that the wolf eat mice, groundhogs, rabbits etc. This is more their food maintenance not Caribou. Sure if the see a herd of Caribou and there is a weakling "yes" they will kill. However, if that animal is already weak do you honestly think it will survive. NOT!! Now we have the Tar Sands Mining Project going on. Do you not think that this is going to harm both the Woodlands/Mountain Elk. You bet it will. So first off, lets just shoot any wolf, hey we are doing a good job!! Now, hunting season, lets get a couple of Elk - Watch for that big one. We need to fill our freezer(s). Notice the plural!! However, the one's the hunters kill who will be blamed, you betcha - The WOLF!! That is disgusting. Needless to say, with the big ones' gone, who looks' after the little one's? They die to. All this is to protect the TAR SANDS MINING PROJECT!! Lets' not blame the mine. So all in all, both species are left with what? Many small caribou are left and the same applies for the wolf. Neither of them able to pro-create. Way to go TAR SANDS MINING PROJECT!! Lets just keep on killing the wolves, and you hunters' just keep taking those trophy Caribou.
IT ALL STANDS TO REASON DONT' YOU THINK??? Bull-s++it!! Keep in mind that not all Caribou will survive the winter nor will the Wolves. Maybe everyone should have a meeting about THE TAR SANDS MINING PROJECT!! Who wants to be the Guest Speaker??
