Madrid will eliminate 1,500 goats Pedriza . OUTRAGEOUS

Madrid has approved an order closures of hunting and population control plan to halve the presence of mountain goats Pedriza, in the Parque de Guadarrama. Environmentalists criticized the " opacity " of this plan and bow hunting is allowed throughout the year .

Pedriza is a population of about 3,000 goats that Madrid has decided to reduce to prevent possible outbreaks of diseases such as scabies ( 1) , tuberculosis ( 2) or BT ( 3). "In very high densities can also potentially affect vegetation and displace other species ," said a spokesman for the Ministry of Environment . In this situation , which they describe overabundance , has approved a plan for population control which provides that in five years to halve the number of copies, which is currently around 3,000. "There will be 361 copies a year for five more years births there ," a spokesman concrete .

To do this, two methods have been authorized , bowhunting and live capture

This season bow hunting for this species is permitted all year , also during the breeding season , and carried out by members of the regional federation of Chase.

Excuses posed transmission of diseases not hold because:

( 1) The cause of this disease is the " scabies mites " which is a mite body unsegmented :

Guest: human . This mite not live more than 2-4 days in the environment.
Contagion : the disease is easily transmitted by direct contact or through fomites ( clothing , clothing , sheets, towels ) .
In some cases you can acquire by contact with infected animals , especially dogs and cats.

You have to be in direct contact with these animals , which does not happen .

( 2) The transmission of TB can only be done by people who have active disease . TB is transmitted through particles expelled by the smear-positive patient ( with active TB ) with coughing , sneezing, talking, singing , spit , etc. , so it is recommended not to have contact with third parties.

Man acquires the infection first, through the digestive tract (milk and raw milk products ) and secondly by aerial means .

No chance of infection unless you drink your milk or you sneeze or cough a goat.

( 3) Of great clinical importance , for the great physical deterioration and causing long convalescence ; by the colossal economic and production losses and expenses incurred prevention and control, it is widely feared despite being harmless to humans and only median mortality.

Harmless to humans ....

Other sources consulted admit that the price per head goat can cost between 300 and 2,500 , although Environment ensures that no charged for it .....
