Elephants have a long history in the circus that started here in Wisconsin, and Circus World leaders are hoping to keep it that way.

All animals I don't care what kind should be eliminated from circuses and carnivals and Las Vegas acts, anywhere. Let them be!
Thank you Scooby

Yes! Ringling Brothers are phasing elephants out. No word on tigers or bears, though.

They should eliminate the act only if that's the only way to end animal cruelty. If they can train the animals humanely and treat them kindly, then there is no need.

How can the people who actually want wild animals to perform in circuses sleep at night? Have they ever watched baby elephants being 'trained' have they ever watched lions and tigers being trained? have they ever watched ANY wild animals being 'trained'. I very much doubt it, as the so-called 'training' or beaten into submission to use the correct term is done BEHIND CLOSED DOORS, just as the agricultural businesses hide their 'dirty little secrets' Even circuses that use dogs and horses have been known to beat these poor, defenceless animals. Shame on anyone who actually PAYS to watch animals being abused and mistreated.
