Navarre the wolf was nearly frozen to death when he was found unable to move in an icy river in Italy.

It's not so much a "couple", as a TEAM of several rescuers... In some sort of official capacity, as the words on their uniform jackets show.

In some countries the rescue wolves instead of shooting them. Great story!

Bittersweet. Bless the rescuers for their wholehearteded dedication to Navarre. Wish he had lived longer.
