I recently watched a great program Henry 8th and all his wives. Was very revealing, well documented and researched and ..here's the punch.. I forgot the name of the program.

I will try and look it up, and get back to you. What I can say, is the real stories are full of intricacies, obviously, and there was a lot to this king, and his wives, worth the telling.
The one wife that did not get the noose and lived to tell the tale, was lucky. She made a deal with him.. after noting what happened to the others!
One wife died because of childbirth. Of course, the king loved her more than any of the others, apparently.
Maybe, there was not enough time not to, or else, it was because she gave him the male heir he needed.
He was an active 'athlete' in his younger days and jouster, I think, it was said. Until, he got injured.

That was the beginning of the end for him, physically, causing him a lot of pain, etc. he put on weight, and continued to keep trying to marry to get the male heir needed, for his legacy.
Power can make some ruthless tyrants. I suppose, where royalty is concerned, at least, business is business.

Thanks, Scooby
