BBC World News America has unearthed a fascinating clip of Dr Martin Luther King speaking to the BBC's Bob McKenzie in 1964 in which Dr King predicts an African-American president "in less than 40 years."

Glad someone picked up on this interesting archival film clip. I nearly added it myself earlier this morning.

Numbers 12:6
And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a vision, and will speak unto him in a dream.
Numbers 12:5-7 (in Context) Numbers 12 (Whole Chapter)

Jeremiah 28:9
The prophet which prophesies of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD has truly sent him.

"I have a dream, a dream that people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character..."

Noted. I remember when Dr. King forecasted this event...and the reaction it set off. Thanks, Ben, for reminding me by posting this interesting story/video.

Thank You, Ben for this film clip. I hope we will all give President Obama a chance to get to work and be patient because there is much to be done to undo the last 8 years. It is one crisis after another. I felt that Dr. King would have approved of his Inagural Speech and I think President Obama realizes that there is hard work to be done and he is counting on everyone to do their part. A new day has really dawned for everyone on this planet.

Martin Luther King, Jr. was and is a great force in America and across the world. He glorified God and exemplified God's plan for unconditional love and mutual respect among people across all racial, economic, and class lines. His ministry showed that human beings need to focus more on the ties that bind us than the religious and social differences that divide us. Finally, on November 4, 2008, we showed that we got the message!

YES WE CAN -- YES WE DID!

Blessings, and thank you for this news, Ben O.

Mary
