New York artist Ron Piccirillo is claiming to have unlocked the secrets behind one of the most mysterious faces in history -- Mona Lisa. Piccirillo argues that several animals can be seen hidden in the painting when it is set horizontally.

I agree with those leaning to this being a case of pareidolia. Rorschach tests explores exactly that, that doesn't mean there is actually a butterfly or your cousing on a swing in the pictures.
We can always find shapes and faces if we want to whether in paintings, clouds or wood. We can always find hidden meanings to things if we try hard enough.
It is known Leonardo loved animals, but would he have hidden animals in the sideway view of la Gioconda?
