Paul Watson Faces 15 Years Imprisonment in Costa Rica. (Treehugger)
Should the extradition go forward—and it could be some time before that happens as Watson can be held for 90 days—Watson faces up to 15 years in prison on charges of reckless endangerment of a vessel at sea with the intent to cause a shipwreck...

Thank you so much Lindsey for posting this and to others for providing these links to everyone, i have been frantic the last few days over this, and had even posted in my Occupy Seattle groups, as well as the main group as he IS one of us, and WA. based to boot.
Thanks for the link to this article Suzy...I hope to be able to welcome him home soon, but as of now his fate is held in the hands of The Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as only they hold the keys to his release, which is imperative as there are bounties on his head and he will NEVER receive a fair trial should he make it that far!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Thank you all!!! 1love

I was only too ready to send e-mails on Captain Watson`s behalf. I trust that sanity will prevail and he will be released forthwith.
As a bonus he should also receive a Humanitarian medal. Make no mistake, this isn`t over until we reach a satisfactory conclusion !

Sent email! This man deserves an award for his principles and his courage to stand up to what is right in the face of those who don't possess the ethics or the humanity that Paul Watson has. Indeed, he is a great role model for others to follow as he stands for the conservation of all living organisms on our planet, compassion for all sentient beings and the courage to stand by principles even in the face of harsh criticism by those who are corrupt, and those who are not yet enlightened by wisdom and insight on the importance of human beings to treat all sentient beings with the respect for their rights to live and not be harmed- just as us! He is a true hero in every sense of the word! Paul Watson is the incarnation of this wonderful quote:
"We must fight against the spirit of unconscious cruelty with which we treat the animals. Animals suffer as much as we do. True humanity does not allow us to impose such sufferings on them. It is our duty to make the whole world recognize it. Until we extend our circle of compassion to all living beings, humanity will not find peace."

- Albert Schweitzer, physician/Nobel Laureate.
