Amigos de los Animales would like to see a humane Puerto Rico, and will continue to work toward that goal. Amigos de los Animales is not limited in its scope on how it will work toward that goal. We implement spay/neuter and organize educational events.

This problem with dogs which need help really are more widespread than I thought. At first I thought it was a hoax, some kind of exaggeration, or against certain people ,but the dogs really do need help!! Thank you for this information!

I have read the horrors of the poor animals thrown of the bridge. Is "Dead Dog Beach" where the survivors live? Is literally a beach where all these animals have been abandoned?

Noted. Thank you, Dave, for bringing these matters to the forefront, no matter how horrific they are. We have to deal with them. What a way for "man's best friend" to be treated. Imagine the hate and anger and pervisity must be in the twisted mind and black heart of anyone who would treat any living being with such disregard. I weep because I can't gather them all up and love them.

Thank Dave - noted, and donated to a rescue group.
Instead of forking over so much money to the Animal Control company, they should be using this money to educate, vaccinate, and especially for spay/neuter programs. Too much corruption and indifference to life on display there.

Again,I really thought this was a hoax,so I am apologizing particularly to the lady in a thread forum who spoke of the Korean dog-eating place which is supposedly "not a real restaurant." Thank you David for the mentioning in this thread.

PLEASE write to; Gov. Anibal Acevedo Vilá, Office of the Governor, La Fortaleza, P.O. Box 9020082, San Juan, PR00902-0082.

( EMAIL CONTACTS - webgobernador@Fortaleza.gobierno.pr / fortaleza@puertoricodeprimera.com )

Demand for a thorough investigation into the massacre of dozens of seized dogs and cats thrown off a bridge in Barceloneta, request vigorous prosecution and maximum penalties of jail time and fines to those responsible for this most cruel and inhumane act of felony animal abuse offense as per Puerto Rico's statute cruelty law 439. Demand also justice and reform to protect all animals: both strays and pets, as well as support the caring residents of Puerto Rico. International intentions are to now BOYCOTT travelling to Puerto Rico until something significant is done to protect the animals.

Puerto Rico MUST now take action and enforce strict laws against animal cruelty as well as implement humane programs to ensure that this heinous act does not happen again. Puerto Rico should begin with funding adequate TNR (trap, neuter/spay, return) method of preventing over-population, build shelters for strays and enforce pet registration laws. Such programs are not only legal and humane, but are more cost-effective than hiring thugs to break into homes and massacre pets.

! PLEASE CONTACT THE GOVERNOR NOW - THE WORLD IS WATCHING IN DESPAIR !
