Industrial fishing fleets are vacuuming up our fish - we may soon run out! But in less than 24 hours the EU could vote for a bold new plan to end overfishing. Send an urgent message to Europe's key decision makers View 1st comment for instructions!

Attention- DO NOT JUST SIGN A BLANK LETTER!
You need to fill in some text before submitting your signature!

Here some tips on what to say and remember to be polite:

As a citizen concerned about the state of our seas, I urge you to reform Europe's destructive Common Fisheries Policy (CFP).

The EU's fishing laws desperately need an overhaul and now you have an opportunity to vote for a science-led plan that could end overfishing.

People from across Europe are counting on you -- seize this historic opportunity to save our seas.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

Update: 6 February 2013
Wow -- together we made history! A super majority of MEPs just agreed to end overfishing, with 502 - 137 votes in favour. We helped win some of today's votes, giving the Parliament a massive mandate for change in its negotiations with the European Council to agree the final reforms that can save our oceans. Over 180,000 people sent messages to MEPs before the vote took place. We have switched the messages off now since we've won -- but you can still sign the petition here, which we'll use to support future negotiations!
