We've got parties and plans and shopping and fun. We've got Starbucks and Disneyland and Hollywood and sun. We've got everything we want and even that much more. We've got famines and genocides and climate change and war

Here is some information for those who think that the USA has been campaigning for peace and human rights in the Middle East:

In 2001 the US government VETOED a draft resolution for setting up observers to protect the Palestinian people, and Blair's representative abstained! Since 1972, there have been 23 US vetoes on Resolutions aimed at solving the crisis there. Only 2 countries (Israel and the USA) block the two-state solution that Hamas and the rest of the world demands.

The two state solution is dead and unethical because it is based on apartheid policy and would guarantee that Israel always maintain the upper hand. One democratic state is the only way.

Thank you for notes, comments.

Simon, I very much agree that US, Britain, Zionists remain the biggest obstacles to what I would say is ANY kind of solution. The US most of all because of our veto power and ever-increasing military aid (3 billion a year and growing). Sadly, the only people to benefit from a lack of a solution is Israel!
