They would beat him so badly that he would bleed internally into his abdomen, necessitating overnight hospitalization. In complete shock and distress, Amir would not open his mouth to speak for another day and a half

I just hope that the people who have been posting so much anti Islam crap on this site actually get to read this.

I don't see anyone 'attacking' you for posting this news item, Zahra. If it's true, then without question the soldiers were criminally wrong in harming this child.

Of course, considering the source (Electronic Intifada), most reasonable people will await confirmation from other sources before accepting the story as credible (just as I rather doubt you would personally accept a single-source story as credible if it came from a known 'pro-Israeli' news source.)

But, if proven true, it's a crime which should be punished severely.

I happen to know the source Nora, she is an honorable and righteous Jew.

It must be a tough stand to take if you want to stand by a cause which seems so difficult if there are evil people around who want to make a misery of children's lives, the future. Its just too muchd yet it goes on. Why!

At the end of our interview last Thursday, Amir sent a message to American children. "We are kids, just like you. We have the right to play, to move freely. I want to tell the world that there are so many kids inside the Israeli jails.

Thank you Zahra. Another example of unnecessary and despicable brutality by Israeli cowards against the most innocent and vulnerable part of the population.

Violating not only basic human rights but also children's rights.

This shows who the real terrorists are.

State terrorists, thugs and cowards… The israelis stop at nothing. A real human being, whether Jew, Muslim or Christian, could not sleep at night if they did these terrible things… More of the same…

One day each one of us will have to face God. Anyone who kills, harms, persecutes, humiliates or steals from another will one day get their justice…

Where are you American Jews?
Don’t have enough blood or land?
America is at risk because of YOU...
Where are you American Christians?
Would Jesus support occupation, confiscation and killing?
Where is LOVE?

This makes me deeply sad! I don't know what to say! I have already started my prayer for Amir! Why has the world taken to such cruelty!? Who benefits from cruelty?!? Is there something we can do to stop these uncalled for acts!?

I know such things from different sources.
I don't understand it. Especially, Jews in Israel should know, how wrong it is to treat people that way.

Soldiers of all nations are murderous thugs; killing's their job. However it is high time that the Israelis stopped hiding behind the Holocaust to justify inflicting terrorism upon innocent civilians. The ancient Israelites stole the land from the original inhabitants; their modern descendants have a precedent for their thievery. I am not anti-Semitic, but anti-criminal. Way back I assisted in prosecuting Nazi concentration camp guards.

I would like to see this news item published in a more neutral medium than "Electronic Intifada" -- accessing Lebanese and Jordanian sources in English and French has turned up nothing.

Secondly, Lionel is right about all military (and most police), I am sure that Rodney King would agree.

Where are all of the pro-Zionists now? You will fill comments on other posts but won't comment on how great Israel is when children are being held or beat up? Blasphemy.

Well, John, I'm not a 'pro-Zionist' (since I'm not a Zionist), but I have already commented several days ago. Does a comment by a 'Generally-Pro-Israeli' count? And Terry has already commented (I don't know if he would call himself a Zionist, but like me he is decidedly 'Generally-Pro-Israeli.') But maybe his comment doesn't count, either?

But it's a usual phenomenon - there are quite a few threads on which the "Pro-Palestinian" group are oddly absent........

Human nature, I suppose.

John, I was not commenting on this article because I didn't think anyone will believe such a stupid thing: that Israelis went to arrest a 10y.o. boy playing on a street. Israelis are not stupid and not monsters, so they had no reason to do it. Israelis have better and bigger fish to catch: rocket shooters, snipers, suicide bombers...

There was an articled posted here a few days ago, claiming that Israeli police beat 10y.o. boy. Not sure, if that was the same boy. And the picture showed - Palestinian police, not Israeli.

One has to be selective what he believes John.
