I'm sure Patricia is a very nice person,.. perhaps just a "little" misguided.

That's from their April 2006 issue. That means it is NOT news. I'm sure that you're a very nice person also, Scott, if perhaps just a "little" misguided in not being able to understand the difference between new information and "old news/not news"

ADM is one of the most evil and corrupt companies in the world. Many of their top cats have actually done time in prison for various offences.

That's true, Bonita, ADM is evil. So which would you rather see posted to World news, something regarding new legislation, a new petition to sign, a new story about ADM or bioethanol, a new campaign to stop them, or an old story from 2006 that isn't news and could push important and urgent news off the front page because so many people noted it?

Scott has been asked many times by many people to only post news, but he is apparently either incapable of distinguishing between old stories and news, or simply doesn't care.

Because so many people note Scott's stories without thinking, if there was an urgent new petition to stop new legislation favoring ADM, and it was posted by somebody with fewer friends than Scott, chances are it would not make the front page and few people would see it and be able to act.

Care2 is a site for activists. There are plenty of groups, and Scott has even started groups of his own so he does know how to do it, where people can post stories of historical or other interest that are not news. Most activists want to be able to know about new information regarding the causes they support in time for them to act and to spread the word. The reason that most activists support various causes is because we already know the background and the historical facts, and we want to be able to act to prevent new atrocities.

Scott just doesn't get it.
