Yep, here we go!
There are no more "Americans".
Right now, we are ALL Tibetan.

Avril, the US has been a full-blown
fascist nation for a long time now.
But it's only here lately that the
"sheeple" are waking up to that
particular home-truth.

Thanks, Scott.

Scott, it was peaceful, until I saw one of the police hit a protester, that started it all, why the hell would he do that?..These people are entitled to freedom of speech without being harmed. But we all know what the US is capable of...

Thanks for the wake up. i also think that we need our troops to come home. You have made way to much sence. Thanks Scott

Begining July 1, the police will be actively enforcing all laws, especially minor traffic violations, so be careful. Police State USA is here.
Waking up is a start, especially for the uninformed, though it will take action to overcome this adversity as well. Duly noted. Thanks Scott.

This shows that our country is not what it once was. We had freedom of speech, it is gone, we had a right to protest against the unjust, it is gone. For this shows such cruelty and violence against people is terrible. The officers that were violent should be relieved of duty forever. They disgrace America and the people of America they are suppose to protect. Thank you Scott for the e mail..noted.

This is so disgusting, so hard to watch!!! This is what is happening in the United States, infront of the UN?? This is the 2nd video I have seen in the past week that looks like it came from China but it's happening right in the US. Not looking good for freedom of speech, I guess the New World Order is starting to send in the troops... what a sight!?!?

Don't know why Americans are so shocked seeing this. They, the American
people gave their country away decades ago.I can't believe the blank looks I get from people when I discuss issues like 'Statutory Law', Lawful Taxation','Fed Reserve and the World bank' and many other issues relating to the unlawful acts perpretrated by our 'Corporate Gov.'
The people have let our Constitution be set aside. The people have let one tyranical regime after another be elected into office over and over again.
Want a foot in the door to take us in the right direction?

The Sounds of silence - Simon and Garfunkel

"Fools" said I,"You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows.
Hear my words that I might teach you,
Take my arms that I might reach you."
But my words like silent raindrops fell,
And echoed
In the wells of silence

And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made.
And the sign flashed out its warning,

In the words that it was forming.

And the signs said, The words of the prophets

are written on the subway walls

And tenement halls.
And whisper'd in the sounds of silence.

Horrifying! But we cannot let our fear and disgust paralyze us!! We can stand in unity, fortified....and when we encounter "mans inhumanity to man" we must speak the truth with courage....SHAME on them SHAME! We are silent no more....the world race has begun to move in strength around the globe! BE STRONG as we await the ascension!

As sad as this video is, things like this happened all the time during the civil rights era and at other times in the recent past.Police brutality is a real problem and goes back a long time. It isn't anything new.

African Americans were attacked by billy clubs, police dogs and firehoses.

College students at Kent State were fired upon, by the military.

If you protest today, you run the risk of being brutalized by the police. That happened at a anti-war protest I was at a few years back.

Dave Kane (308)
Friday March 28, 2008, 2:11 pm
Fascists/thugs in the white house . . . what kind of police can you expect in this New World Order

I can't find any links but ~ I remember a bit about the first police force. Not a bit, but Lenny Bruce talking . . .

It was Lenny Bruce and it was on an album my brother Jeff had. So here's my poor memory of that great Mr. Lenny Bruce telling it like it is/like it's always been:

Basically the businessmen told the political honchos that -- Y'know, there are these people, without much money, poorly dressed, some really smell . . . not a draw for business, not good for business at all. Y'see, we'd like to take them away . . . Put them away somewhere . . . somewhere out of sight where they won't disturb business. You see?

The thing is though, well, we can't do it. I mean we're Businessmen. We need to have good relations with the people. After all, it's the people that keep us all in money and power, eh? So wht we we're thinking . . . what we we're thinking is that maybe you could get a bunch of guys together . . . give 'em badges or a piece of paper . . . or both . . . and pay them to lock these people up for us. You get a bunch of guys with big sticks to do your work and we get a bunch of guys with big sticks to do our work.

So that way we both get things done without looking like the bad guys. You do the hiring, make it all state business, and we'll pay a bit more in taxes for these guys to take care of those smelly poor people that just get in the way of our business, ok?

Michael Yes, I agree it isn't anything new. All you say is true. It's just now EVERYONE is included in the control plan. 911 started this whole thing rolling and it's picking up steam...

Slowly, and slowly your rights are disappearing, and the same corrupt bunch are still in control, just under another puppet name, this time President of the USA is George Bush. Ready and waiting to continue this mess is Hillary, Obama and McCain, all controlled by them, yes really.
Ron Paul is the outsider, check his record to see how he stands up to this madness. He is the only one who can help the people but they have brainwashed so many to think he is out of the running or nuts. Ron Paul can turn this around. I hope America wakes up real fast...

Scott this is one of the saddest things I have seen its liken to Germany of the 1936 to the 1945 period. These people were demonstrating at the right place outside the United Nations.and they end up getting beaten its like as if the American Government were siding with the Chinese.
Please America Stop this violence and let us have a peacefull World.
How many of the everyday people in America will see this video?? I hope there are millions

Tim Redfern, the U.S.A. is not a full-blown fascist state. If it was, unions would be outlawed, with all union leaders killed...

leftwing parties (probably all parties apart from the fascist party) would be outlawed, their leaders executed and their members put into concentration camps...

the same would probably be done to an ethnic minority, such as the Jews or Rom ("Gypsies")...

there would be no elections...

this U.S.-based Care2 website, and all other U.S.-based alternative media, would have been closed down and the media employees sent to concentration camps or executed...

all people who were found to have read alternative media would have been arrested (the gestapo could simply break down your doors and check your computers' internet address history to know what sites you have looked at)...

etc., etc.

The U.S.A. might be on the road to fascism, but it certainly isn't fascist yet.

Simon Wood (207)
Friday March 28, 2008, 3:47 pm
PS, What I have just written above is good news - I mean you can use those freedoms that you do have, to fight for human rights - such as by becoming a labor union activist, by joining a leftwing political party (such as the Green Party or a socialist party), and by spreading the alternative media to as many people as you can. : )

We were always taught that America was the land of the free.

I have just watched eight minutes of that freedom.

Since when was protesting made to be against the law?

Since when was the UN to be shielded from protests?

Since when were the named officers allowed out off the leash?

Where is the Land of the Free?

I am only asking.

Karen M (176)

I burst into tears watching this. The thought of what buddhist monks are presumably going through at the hands of Chinese authorities right now, and the thought of what Tibetans are going through with tanks of soldiers having rolled in is too much. Now I have to see these protesters speaking for them in a U. S. metropolis beaten and threatened.
I understand that police are targets, and they can be in danger without warning. Even a peaceful protest may contain someone who will become violent. It was too much force for this situation. And it was a very bad example considering the issue at hand that was being protested.

I urge those in the law enforcement field to not follow this poor and embarrassing example of police action. I urge those frightened and upset by this to not lump together all of those in the field and create further derision. Obviously there were officers acting they not realize they have freedoms to lose as well? Or their brother or sister, son or daughter, mother father, grandparent, or cousin, friend... might be having the crap beat out of them by another officer elsewhere? And those that protest...and mean to do it peacefully, implies to not antagonize. Seems that the protest was not well organized..are there not guidelines that might be used...that have things run more smoothly ...could we be missing something?..such as comments or actions by protesters?, or flags construed as potential weapons? Don't get me wrong...what was done was wrong...I just do not want to go full scale and have a war with the police..nor be beaten down or oppressed...just brainstorming..trying to be level headed after being up too late

Increasingly this is happening world wide it may be a conscious strategy- Herer we barely peeped about the WTO and one tiny protest was accompanied by a woman being beaten up and this was shown on our telly. The chase a govt program of a satirical nature took the thing on and sent in a fake deputation one of which was dresses like bin Laden .The Chaser does not seem to be showing anymore. But then we have had petty hot violence with peaceful demonstrators in the past . I can still remember my girlfriend after she was shoved through a plate glass window.

I was put in handcuffs (with no record and having done nothing) because I was dating an actress while I was living in Key West and those fascist cops were jealous. Twice. Detained, not arrested. In Key West? This is what they do as I wrote here once before. They beat the living crap out of people and I checked yesterday to see how many more were beaten up in the past 7 days. Only a few.

After I was in handcuffs I was hit on the back of the neck with the baton and needed a $1200 dollar MRI. The technician at the hospital said they fill the waiting room sometimes and need to be stopped. Even the county police told me to go after them. While I was telling the check-in nurse what happened the cop who was sitting next to him slinked off.

I told the assaulting cop who waited until his buddy was down the hall before hitting me (who came back and chuckled a bit as he knew what he was doing and just avoided being a witness) to shut the door so my dogs would be safe. He said "you don't need to worry, I threw one of your dogs off the balcony, see the blood stain?" And they both burst out laughing.(It was oil, but in the dark..) If he had, losing his "job" would have been the least of his problems. It was 12 hours before I found out they were ok.

It makes you wonder what deals the USA has made with China??? Why was it so important to stop these few protesters that these officers risked their careers on camera??? On whose/what orders are they acting like brutes??? And there are some very sick people in the police force, no question about it as numerous civilian people's video shots have proven many times over.

It's up to citizens to take control and start watching the watchers!

I am disheartened yet not surprised at the actions displayed in this video. As a former NY'er who spent much time in peaceful protests outside the UN (as well as many other locations) group organizers knew the laws and statutes and made sure all participants did as well. is an excellent source of information and articles republished from Activism 101 and Freedom Writer as well as The Midnight Special Law Collective which has produced a better activist handbook.

KNOW YOUR RIGHTS and know the law and use it to your advantage when getting involved in any protest.

My prayers go out to those who were violated and beaten, as well as for the officers who's misguided actions are turning this great nation into a "police state". Martial Law is not far away and unless we speak out and demand change in a peaceful manner, we will all be subject to this kind of heinous social acceptance. Demand Change... and subject those in power to be responsible for their actions. It's up to us to watch the watchers. There is power in organized and focused masses. POWER TO THE PEOPLE!

I love that song, Scott!
I'm sure going to die, whether I give up or not, but I don't want to give in to, IN's and OUT's and new trends either.
The other night I blew my lid, and I argued fiercely with someone whom I thought was a peace advocate and a dear friend. I don't know anymore. I think we should all reconsider everything.
Hans, living in Europe is no excuse. Improving everything just may be.
And Tim, I just loved that, "Yep, here we go! There are no more Americans! Right now we are all Tibetan." Have you been toking again?! Wait until someone informs you that Tibet has weapons of mass destruction, that could affect your shores!

It's disheartening to watch this. I couldn't watch it all. I protested the Vietnam war as a student at UCLA back in the 70's. During one of the candlelight walks a friend was singled out by the police & a group of us spent several hrs in custody. It was extremely scary although we didn't get beat up like that, just intimidated.
I was so naive in those days. I really thought my generation would be the one to put an end to all wars, poverty, greed...

This has been happening in America since we became a "country". From what I understand, George Washington didn't like "dissenters", for example, he had those who didn't want to fight in the war, killed.

The history of America is a disgrace, and we Americans have been lied to our whole lives.

When I have spoken to people from all over the world, face to face, before September 11th 2001, and I have ALWAYS been told that Americans are stupid, arrogant, and spoiled and we don't understand how our country, while it make help certain people of the world, it seems, America does more damage than good.

Thanks for the video Scott, it's so very, very sad. It's also very sad to see that this kind of thing inspires the same feelings of rage, protest and yes, fear, that those officers displayed. Is fear and rage really the fuel we need to fight this fire,or will the combination from both sides result in a explosion? I agree we need to wake up,stand up, speak out for ourselves and for others. But I think that we need to be careful not to help them to create an environment full of fear, pain, suffering, confusion and fusration. If we want to help this planet, we must first heal ourselves, only then will we be able to help to heal others. This can't be done in a world full of fear and unrest. I agree with you Mike - What the world needs now, is love, sweet love"

This is supposed to be a free country, with the right to petition grevinces peacefully to the government, and the right to freedom of speech. These are what this country is supposed to be about.Basic freedoms, the Bill of Rights , and constitution. It is apalling when police attack innocent victims for protesting, especially against the war, FOR PEACE. It is unconstitutional for any victims for any reason.

Typical NYPD jackboot M.O.! They may not have had a permit, but it doesn't excuse the Fascist thuggery and violence. But that's typical police-state bullying...I'll bet they wouldn't have been so quick to do that if the protestors were the same size as the cops! Cowardly, fear-based violence! The Bush/Cheney criminal cartel MUST be held accountable...impeach them all, including their aides who carry out the dirty work!
