To arrive at greater certainty and a price on carbon, senior executives consistently prioritize a truly global agreement over national or regional agreements.

Nobody seems to understand that because we all exhale CO2, we could all be liable for permits to breath.

Would you all please wake up!

This is the most totalitarian move ever contemplated by the psychopaths who run our governments.

The fact that we all exhale CO2 does not mean that high levels of it are not toxic and even lethal. Limiting CO2 production by industry is completely unrelated to you breathing. Many naturally-occurring elements may be fine or even helpful in limited quantities but dangerous or even fatal in larger quantities.

We must challenge the arguments based on myths and superstitions and talking points. We must raise the debate to the level of scientific fact and reason. People can and do die of CO2 poisoning and too much CO2 CAN do damage to our environment and our future.

We're not sleeping and we're not idiots. We know that the laws of physics apply even when some people don't like it. The planet and atmosphere are not expanding along with the human population. More people combined with fewer trees/plants and less plankton means that we've destroyed the balance between O2 production and CO2 production. People can't breathe CO2 and survive, so we need to safeguard O2 production and control CO2 production as population increases and production of CO2 increases with further industrialization.

We're aware of the laws of physics - people have had measurable effects on the environment and the atmosphere and the climate of this planet. It is not possible, in the face of scientific knowledge and data available today, to argue that humans are benign.

We will not, in the foreseeable future, be liable for permits to breathe because we don't breathe like the smokestacks from dirty coal and other energy plants. You, Judy Cross, as a person are in no danger from your government. And in the US, the government is us, all of us. We the people; a government of and for and by the people. We do have the power to stop the psychopaths here, and the proof is when we had a peaceful transition of power from the fools who made huge messes and ran up huge deficits while starting two wars to a popularly-elected President who is working lots of overtime to fix the damage.

The most totalitarian move ever contemplated was the passage of the Patriot Act in the US that stripped nearly all of us of many of our constitutional rights by allowing secret courts that are beyond any scrutiny and allowing search and seizure in the absence of any probable cause or warrants. We were in much more danger up until January 2009. Things are getting better (very slowly) now.
