Still NO CONSENSUS REACHED.

End of Story. With all the good intentions of the majority of the world, they cannot beat Big Business.
We just helped them get even stronger, but bailing out the banks and financial institutions which in turn flourish from profits from the big guys.

I doubt if any politician in the world has the strength and power to stop Big business, so I guess, business as usual....

I would dissagree - clean energy jobs, clean energy production, clean energy research etc. IS big business - I think it is a falicy that we need to trade one for the other - just my opinion of course...

Yes, Cal, this was a highly successful event - and now is the time to build on that momentum - it will take a sustained effort which can not be solved in one day ...

Go Gorilly! Go Cal!
The thing to remember here is that those companies only have power because they have money, and they only have money because we spend it on their stuff. WE ARE IN CHARGE. We can boot the corrupt politicians IF WE WANT. We can CUT OFF OUR SPENDING on the products of the companies who behave this way. There are good models for this all through history. One example: in the south, there were Jim Crow laws on the books and blacks were forced to sit in the back of the bus, but they boycotted the buses and did all sorts of other things for transportation - they shared cabs and ran errands for each other and shared rides and walked in big groups having fun. They had no money and no power and they turned that around and CAUSED CHANGE. We CAN DO IT TOO. I'm not giving up either, I'm planning on giving them all sorts of heck until they either go out of business or get their act together and start being responsible!
