Many of us here are against the machinations of big companies and this appears to be a small step in the change we want to see. I am only concerned that Chavez might enter the area that the U.S. government sees as a threat to U.S. security, which is more often interpreted as a threat to U.S. based trade or commercial superiority. This is a stated position of the Republican Party. If he goes too far he or his country will come under covert disruption or physical attack by the U.S.

Appropriation of groups/companies that have subsidised Chavez's so called economic revolution is illegal. This man is a desperate despot eager to remain in power no matter what the cost. Eventually he will bankrupt his country.

this man is a never seen before type of dictator, he has used democratic means to collect power and has used the desperation and ignorance of millions of venezuelans to slowly build a totalitarian system in which all powers of government respond and obey the executive. He's what is called a neo-dictator. His administration is corrupt and mediocre. I was born and still live in Caracas, Venezuela 33 years ago.
