The pressure builds in Congress for answers amid numerous reports of wastewater contamination of drinking water sources in several states where oil companies have employed this controversial process.

Thanks. Our insatiable need for unlimited power is going to frack us all. It's as bad as mountaintop removal for coal extraction. About time they looked into this. It was almost a year ago when the HBO special on this came on TV. Watching the guy who lived next door to a former fracking site light water on fire was enough to give pause. If you add up the true cost of fully regulating dirty energy sources like coal, oil and gas, alternative energy looks not only promising but cost-effective.

Our EPA is not doing it's job on everything it is responsible for doing. Lisa Jackson inherited a mess and I have seen some improvements, but not in this area and this is a BIG DEAL. We need to keep the pressure on. Thanks Cal.

Not so Natural Gas.
When animals shed and cancer spreads. Its Not So Natural Gas. When children die and parents cry. Its Not so Natural Gas. When water spoils to profit oils. Its Not So Natural Gas. When land is rot its all for not when its not so Natural gas.
Keep up the good fight. And maybe the next time anyone gets a meeting with an opponent to our health. Trade their Pellegrino for your "unpolluted" drink.
Knowledge is Power. Truth is Love. Don't Be Afraid.

HOW'S THIS -- TRULY CLEAN ENERGY -- FOR AN ANSWER TO, not on, FRACKING?:

Simply recognize that 9/11 ""Ground Zero"" could not have been caused by any conventional energy source (or weaponry)!!!!!

Simply recognize that 9/11 ""Ground Zero"" evidence is entirely consistent with the misuse of Tactical Nuclear Weapons (ie, fissionless nuclear fusion technology), something which U.S. taxpayers have funded the research and development of for decades!

Simply realize that this means that WE DON'T NEED TO BURN STUFF IN ORDER TO RELEASE ENERGY ANY MORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND THEN SIMPLY STOP MASSIVELY PROMOTING/SELLING COMBUSTION, AND LET MOTHER EARTH -- AND ALL HER INHABITANTS -- LIVE AND BREATHE FREELY...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Noted and thanks Cal. I wrote a comment a day ago re: Delaware's etc., 'Fracking' and if New York City would be affected as a 'downstream' victim of our oil and the hungers for energy that destroy the basics for human survival. There soon will not be any place on this planet that can provide clean water, clean food, or clean air for our near 7 billion of consumers and poisoners. The Resource Wars are heating up. The qualifications of wealth are changing again and rapidly, thanks to we humans, who refused to accept that our home is an enclosed recycling planet. "What goes around, comes around", inevitably, with results we refused and still refuse to acknowledge. Not to late, I'd like to hope. There is no going back though, only forward with what we have on our 'backs' and deal with all of the destruction of a planet that lives with a balance of uncounted liiving organisms besides ourselves, that we humans have the distinct dishonor of annihilating to extinction. Preaching to the choir again. Sorry.

According to press-releases of friday april 8th the french government is stepping back and laws will be voted soon to forbid fracking, for shale gas and fioul alike. The former minister who signed the permits for fracking stated "....based on the current knowledge of today, that fracking threatens the environment, these permits shouldn't have been given. I made a mistake....."

Wait and see, but this looks quite good.

Mass movement can achieve things!
