Adapting economies and maintaining infrastructure under global warming will cost developing countries dear, and resentment is building as rich countries delay in providing finance

And the IMF will be happy to loan it to them to help them sink quicker.

As usual it's always the poor and underpriviledged that suffer. It's not right! Thanks Cal.

Good news!
The US, Japan and Canada have blocked any discussions about sources of long-term finance.
We are not falling for this crap.
We need to stop ALL foriegn aid!

It seems that it's so often the poorest and most vulnerable who suffer and pay the most.

When will the developed countries give back all that they stole from the developing countries? We have stolen more than we ever have given. We still continue to get rich off of the developing countries. Where do you think all of the products we sell in the US are really made? Who do you think makes these products, not us?

Mr. Be Kuel, foreign aid is a drop in the bucket compared to anything else. Foreign aid is used to exert influence over other countries, it is not done for altruistic reasons. It is on of the tools in the foreign policy toolbox, nothing more. Congress wastes more on travel or food for their meetings than we give any country that really needs it, so stop whining.
