I am so glad I am the age I am and this robot mind browsing thing isn't a concern for my generation the way it will be for those in the future...a future unlike one I'd really care to live though as a child or an adult. I guess my generation was very lucky that ours was the way it was and not with all the growing concerns at every turn that those of the next ones are going to face. With every good developement comes ten from it that are used for 'no good'...once governments and 'othe'r corrupt corporate types get their hands on them.

Jae I really have to agree with you on this one. I'd give anything to go back to the pre-computer days. I love to be able to do what I do on the computer and have met wonderful people such as yourself that I might not of met otherwise, but the overall hasn't been good in my mind.

No just the hacking or eaves dropping but a host of other things, remember before the credit score? Now people have a hard time finding a job with a poor credit score. It's like the rock and a hard place, the economy was tanked by situations beyond your control, then because you have no job and are late on some bills then the credit score goes down, then the credit score prevents you from getting a job, so now you loose your home to foreclosure so the credit score really tanks making it harder again to find work in an already rough job market.

I'm glad I'm nearing my sixties and had most my life before it got so crazy. We had our problems but at least we did have our privacy.

The pace maker is creepy, someone who wanted to "get you" could hire a hacker to mess with the pace maker. How would anyone know?

It stinks that we live in a generation that has to deal with this kind of stuff. I have been saying that we rely too much on technology and now look where it is taking us. I realize the irony of using this medium to say this, but I also try not to revolve my whole world around this screen.

And then there's the ad-tracking companies that follow your every click around the web and sell your information, to the tune of $22B in 2009. Want to get BIG BROTHER out of your computer and life? Do a search for "opt-out tracking" for several good FREE software sites, with which you can protect a shred of your personal data. Mozilla FireFox allows you to "opt-out" of most tracking under Options, Privacy. Quick and simple.
