The financial establishment has received a free pass on many issues because our politicians are bought and paid for. One of the first objectives goals of this movement should be campaign finance reform.

First and foremost, we need to begin to fix our infrastructure and put people to work. We need to pass Obama's Job Act (at least parts of it to start). We need a fair and balanced tax code. We need a task force to address waste and fraud beginning at the local level all the way up to each Federal agency; not just one that meets once a month and sits around a table, but a group that will go through the budget line by line made up of both public officials and real citizens. And somewhere, somehow...we need to come together as a country.

We need to again put controls on Wall Street. We need to get money out of politics, and we need to spend money to repair our damaged national infrastructure.

The right wing media (at least 95% of all media) is still making fun, or demonizing those who are out there, and yet, it's reaching the Ameican public, finally. Now we need to do something about it.

As Pamela said, let's get the JOBS ACT passed and overide the obstructionisst repubs who do not want jobs or improvements in our country. Just consider who bribes them and owns them. TIME FOR THIS TO STOP.

Let the press make fun and demonize.
They are only the mouthpiece of the 1%.
The Occupy movements are moving from the
"protest to policy" phase, the time when they need
to demonstrate what changes need to be made and where we
go from here.
Several years ago, during the Cheney-Bush regime, we were calling
for genuine revolution in this country. A dear friend of mine said,
"Revolution? Cool. But where do we go from there?".
She meant that once the revolution is won, we still have a country
to run and to govern, and how do we do that?
The Occupy movement is at exactly that point right now.
Where do we go from here?

Thanks, Cal.

The issues need to be listed, each and every one of them and then prioritized in a way that allows for each success to build on the next, so that we will have built enough strength to carry through as much of that list as possible.

Smart, sober, attainable, mature goals. We need to set one another up for success one small task at a time. Good luck America, the alternative ain't so pretty.

I don't believe the protest phase is over.
We have yet to be challenged by jackboots.
They are hoping to kill us with silence.
We will have to get much larger protests before we get respect.

Thanks Cal. Just for starters. . .

Get RID of the legislation from stupidom/ aka: the "Financial Weapons of Mass Destruction" ~ Warren Buffet:

1)These ideas are born of REPUBLICAN minds--enabled by co-dependent democrats: "GLBA" Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act/ "Financial Services Modernization Act" et al| 106th congress, S. 900, House Vote #570, November 4, 1999, Senate Vote #354, November 4, 1999
2)"CFMA" The Commodity Futures Modernization Act of 2000 (effectively deregulated OTC derivatives, allowing credit default swaps and hedge betting)- PHIL GRAMM, machinator - who co-sponsored GLBA also played key role in authoring CFMA.

Then. . .
Enact new legislation that re-establishes the intent of Glass-Seagal Act 1933 [Dodd-Frank was obstructed so it is watered down]

Do not let the "miscreant obstructionists" interfere with full activation of new Bureau of Consumer Protection.

Repeal "Citizens United" - it is a supreme federal crime against the people - contradicting previous U.S. Supreme Court rulings that corporations are not citizens but are "artificial persons" NOT entitled to the same protections and privileges of natural persons under the U.S. Constitution and federal laws.

I saw someone on the news calling for a 99% caucas, in washington.. Well let's do it.. Get rid of this GOP. Don't put any republican in office in anystate, because of what this party is doing and has done. Until then , you cannot trust them. they are not the old GOP party. I would say recall all of these republican governors for GOD'S sake. How much more can we take.
I learned fromWI the ringleader in their state congress is intending to run for the U.S. Senate. Gasp.
