The hunger strike is the bravest of all acts of protest. I admire these people. Thank you, Cal.

Betsy's so right!
But it seems that even setting yourself ablaze nowadays doesn't even get you your 15 minutes...We as a global village are all to quickly becoming jaded and losing our humanity...

PLEASE go to DAVID KUHLMANN'S facebook page to read about DAY 31 of his HUNGAR STRIKE..FOR US AND THE WORLD!

What is so terribly wrong with this picture is that human beings are suffering for 'no reason' . What would Mahatma Gandhi have said? Perhaps this: " stop acting like children and get along " !?!
Seriously the governments on both sides of the Bangladeshi / India border need to work together and ensure the rights of everyone.
" The ongoing struggle of the enclave residents highlights the dysfunctional relationship between India and Bangladesh, and their many unresolved border issues."
I find this very sad :(
Prayers rising for all who are suffering and for peace and harmony on both sides of the border.

"“There is no human in the government. They are all stupid,” he said."

That must be common worldwide, to different degrees.

Is there no end to man's inhumanity to man. This is a disgraceful situation and needs to be addressed urgently.

The title is correct, I had not heard of this problem let alone the hunger strike. 60 years, really, and no-one can solve this on both sides of the border?!? Disgraceful. To make all these people suffer, many now for their entire lives for something that should be fairly easy to solve. One could do an equal swap of land and get the people on the correct side of the border. Man's inhumanity to man knows no boundaries except in this case as the boundaries create the inhumanity.

So sad. To starve yourself to death because this is your only recourse to man's inhumanity is tragic. To reach a point of "What more can they take from me?" should move mountains. Instead, their cries are lost in the sea of tears of all those who have suffered. Remember these people when you think your life is bad.
