This was a hell of a way for a country to lose its innocence.

The evilness of this monster! He is claiming self defense from the future actions that might come from pro multi culturalism proponents.

Amen! Alan Yorkowitz.

This was not a "lone nut". Anders Behring Breivik is part of a large Anti-Muslim Hate movement spawned by Pam Geller, David Horowitz, Daniel Pipes and like-minded fanatics in the U.S.. Breivik took this movement's rabid hatred to its logical conclusion.

Putting Breivik in prison will do nothing to counter this vicious movement. Instead, Norway should use Breivik's atrocity as the occasion for a national dialogue. The dialogue can address the distinction between:

* criticizing a religion, and
* demonizing a religion

The demons that should concern us are the ones that inhabit the minds of the Islam Haters. A national dialogue can bring these demons out into the open, where they can be countered.

Pam Geller, David Horowitz, Daniel Pipes and other pro-democracy fighters never were anti-Muslims. Such accusations against people fighting Islamist indoctrination can come only from those who do not differentiate between moderate Muslims and Islamist Extremists and Jihadists.

"Putting Breivik in prison will do nothing to counter this vicious movement. " European countries, UC and Canada have to carefully review immigration policy, immigrant settlement policies, limits on behavior that religions are setting and their compatibility with Western values.

Those who does not want to abide by the laws of the countries they are coming in should NOT be allowed to come in and disturb the peace.

French Islamist Muhammed Merah, who killed three Moderate French Muslims and executed children at Jewish school is a reminder of the dangers and a confirmation of a serious issue.

> Indeed, a good many of the sources [Breivik] cites in “2083″ – which is basically a compendium of previously published works by others – are American. Material from David Horowitz’s website, Frontpagemag.com, figures prominently, along with articles taken verbatim from the Horowitz-affiliated “Jihad Watch,” run by professional hater and make-believe “scholar” Robert Spencer.

> Breivik’s “book” is a mishmash, half diary of his careful preparations for the attack thrown together with anti-Muslim materials and boilerplate conservative rhetoric about the importance of faith, family, and community – Breivik lifts an entire section of a screed on “Cultural Conservatism” by the late Paul Weyrich – totaling well over a thousand pages. ....

> The second part of [Breivik's] video details the threat posed by an inherently aggressive and implacable Islam, the long history of Islamic imperialism, and the submission of the subject peoples to “dhimmitude.” This section relies heavily on the writings of the professional Islamophobes such as Robert Spencer, Bat Ye’or, Andrew G. Bostom, Bernard Lewis, etc., that reads like the table of contents for a routine edition of Horowitz’s online magazine. It is neoconservatism, of the old cold war variety, with the only difference being that International Islam has taken the place of International Communism as our unsleeping foe.

. .

> Islamophobia is not exactly new, but it attained a greater popularity in the wake of 9/11. Everyone needs someone to blame when terrible events take place, and Islam, which is culturally alien to most Americans, is a convenient scapegoat, leading to campaigns vilifying Shariah law and raising suspicions about Muslims in general. It is perhaps no coincidence that the woman who is possibly the most vocal anti-Muslim in the United States, Pamela Geller, has been leading the charge linking anti-Semitism to the OWS movement. One Geller headline screams “Muslim Groups Back Occupy Wall Street Protesters.” Geller is successful in finding anti-Semitism and insidious Islamic influence in many places, enabled in her task by her conflation of anti-Israel with anti-Semitic. In her mind and those of her supporters, the two are essentially the same.

Charles, the stories of Major Hassan executing his comrades, about Mohammed Merah executing peaceful Frenchmen and kids, other Chechen Islamist terrorists cutting fingers from their ransom victims and others were published in many sources. Except for ElectronicIntifadah, Al-Jazeera, Ptimes and other Jihadist sources.

Publishing such stories does not make their authors or publishers anti-Muslim - it makes them anti-Jihadists, which is absolutely different no matter which quotes you decided to pick up.

1000 Pakistani women killed in Honor killings are 1000 reasons to ban replacement of Western Family Law with Sharia.

When some group here decided to block highway to pressure Federal government on something, Palestinian Islamist apologists were there as well, contributing their portion of disturbances promptly and making people late for work. After witnessing that, I would believe Pamela Geller message that Muslim Groups Back Occupy Wall Street Protesters.

Notice that Occupy something is always directed against Western target, and never against Islamist ones.

Charles, mixing up peaceful Muslims and Islamist Extremists into one group, confusing critique of Hateful Jihad with inter-faith relations you are doing a great disservice to moderate Muslims, who are suffering from Jihadists probably the most and the longest.

Hello, Bob A. --

What IS a "Moderate Muslim"? A Muslim who agrees to be bombed? A Muslim who agrees to hand over his land to Israel? A Muslim who agrees to die quietly?

What is a "Jihadist"? Someone who opposes war? Someone who criticizes the U.S. government or other governments that serve the supremacist regime in Israel? Someone who regards Palestinians as fellow human beings? Someone who believes that peace and justice go together? Someone who argues that we destroy ourselves as well, when we destroy other countries?

It looks like Aljazeera has sold out to the government of Qatar. But I've heard nothing negative about ElectronicIntifadah. I'm not familiar with Ptimes.

Charles, a "Moderate Muslim" is the one who does not force his faith onto others. He does not kill his daughter if she wants to have a boyfriend or wear Western clothes. He opposes killing Jews or Christians even though he may not like Israel or West. He relies on votes and not guns. He has goal to advance his business and not impose World Caliphate on infidels by force.

Jihadist is the opposite of all that.

ElectronicIntifada and Ptimes are both PR tools of Islamist extremists.

Where is the evidence to support your claim about ElectronicIntifada and Ptimes?

In your opinion,

* What is a "Moderate Muslim" supposed to do when the U.S. or Israel attacks and occupies his country?
* What does he do when Israel strangles his economy, assassinates his leaders, bulldozes his home?
* What does he do when the U.S. rounds up random people, dumps them in Abu Ghraib, and tortures them?
* What does he do when Israeli tanks shoot up his town and his children are killed?
* What does he do when the U.S. rejects the election outcome and foments a coup or civil war?
* What does he do when the U.S. uses extreme military force to expand its Global Empire?

Let's separate US and Israel.

A moderate Muslim should analyze which goals US have and think if they make sense. As a moderate, he prefers democracy in a real life and therefore he should support US. US is a great country, and people there are more kind than people in Arab states - they won't take random people and keep them in jail.

Speaking of Israel, Moderate Muslim should understand that The Land of Israel is Jewish Homeland and be ready to share the land. He should compare treatment Arabs get from Israel and compare it with treatment Arabs get from other Arab states. Then protest against the worst violators, not just against Israel.

Read the hateful nonsense filling ElectronicIntifada and Ptimes and get all the evidence you need.
