How sad that the "clerics" of this "peaceful religion" encourage such violence against girls wanting an education, In islam, anything that keeps women and girls subjugated is a "good" thing,

Kristina, what does that link you put on here go to?

I tried to find out and my computer gave me a WARNING not to open.

Please come back on here to explain. I also notice you placed the same link on a totally different subject matter on one of my stories as well, so it is the same link to two very different stories.

WARNING C2 MEMBERS......Please read my comment here.

Thanks for the warning, Dandelion G.!

It is better to report her account to Care2 management team. I have googled the link she posted now after reading your message and it seems she posted it on different subjects and even on twitter!

As a temporary precaution you can now flag her comment as inappropriate to save other users some damage! You can find it next to the "send green star" button below each comment.

More on the story of the Pakistani girl, shot by the Taliban.

From the article linked above, a quote from the Taliban:

"We did not attack her for raising voice for education. We targeted her for opposing mujahideen and their war," said the Taliban. "Shariah (Islamic law) says that even a child can be killed if he is propagating against Islam."

There we have it ... All about "Sharia" and the wonderful "religion" of peace!

l do wonder when this violence against women and girls is finally going to come to an end. Here we are in the 21st century and still women are abused the world over in so many ways. The feminine principle seems to be seen as such a threat still! Could it be that if this principle was fully embraced the world would have to change, is that the fear? Could it mean an end to war?

My desire is that she stays safe and those close to her, 'watch her back'.

Whenever, ANYTHING as pertinent as extreme change is needed and necessary, tragedies often happen. Unfortunately, for people to lose their lives under these circumstances, is not uncommon. Change requires sacrifice, which is not to suggest it should occur. We have seen it here in the U.S.A., in our past.

In this case, we are discussing male dominance or POWER & CONTROL, which also, exists in our own society by the Tea Party Republican GOP, in the form of politics. Happily for us, few have died due to this effort.

My only question is, why are most conservative women not seeing the correlation?
When you reject the Lilly Ledbetter Act, which as we know, concerns closing the gap between men's and women's wages, you are telling women YOU ARE NOT AS IMPORTANT as men.
Making excuses for rejection, does not 'fly'. Law suits will _not_ occur, if the law is followed.

Women who want to take us back 25/50 years, baffle me. They are dangerous to any successful society, not just for the U.S.A., but many other countries around the world, especially those who are looking to us as setting a good example.

Ladies, if you feel 'inferior', do society a favor. Go back into hiding, close your mouths, and do what your _male in charge_ tells you to do, but, please, STAY AWAY FROM THE REST OF US; just don't vote, until you start to respect yourself, and recognize your value as a woman.

The chief issue remains, any person who is positive towards women, already born children, minorities, the elderly, the LGBT community and other religious groups, will be fair to everyone.
Hate and Fear breed, hate and fear.
