I think it is time for the American People to do the Same. In last nights debate, Mitt wants to give away public land to a foreign company and the pipe job they are giving the American people. There are no permanent jobs associated with this. The pipe line will be completed by 2014! The tar sand oil, once refined, we be shipped overseas. There are about 40 check points along the way which will have to be manned and then again, maybe not. All we get out of this is white sand and the waste chemicals used to refine it. We have the honor of disposing it. The Canadians won't even let them build the pipe line through Canada to reach either coast.
That poor lady being put into jail for protecting her own property! Eminent Domain is the right of our Federal, State, and City Officials meant for infrastructure, Highways, Airports, etc,, not for Private companies to do business!

Thank you and how do we go about making this a world court issue no matter which country including the USA does it? This should be the equivalent of a War Crime .

May the Wayuu and all other indigenous peoples of the world be successful in the defense of their ancestral lands and human rights. Greed and avarice have destroyed too many cultures and despoiled far too much of the earth.

The Mittster acts as if, developing our own resources, will make us energy independent.
Now, he knows, as well as we should, that any oil extracted from our land, is given to the oil companies to do with, as they see fit. It does not automatically come to us.
How many naive people do we have in the U.S.A., who buy his bullcrap?
The answer is ~ those who want to.

Honestly, we have no right telling other countries what to do with their energy sources, when we ourselves have destroyed much of our own land, for the very same purpose. This is 'negative' progress, not really progress to protect our future.

These indigenous people could use a lesson from the Viet Nam "black pajamas" (Viet Cong.) Now *they* knew how to set traps; deadly ones, at that. Perhaps they could at least employ poison tipped arrows.
