Sometimes, brilliance strikes by accident. Here's a salute to the scientists, chefs, and everyday folk who stumbled upon greatness - and, more important, shared their mistakes with the world

The slinky toy has an additional use. If you have any kind of radio with an antenna and your reception is poor, clip a slinky onto the radio antenna and stretch it out. Instant reception! Military troops use that option with their radios in the field all the time.

What an interesting post. Who has not played with play-doh or silly putty! Matches are definitely one of the most important...and I remember times before microwaves, which has freed up a lot of time in the kitchen.

Very interesting! It is amazing what we can find or invent through sheer serendipity. That could be how ancient humans invented (discovered?) beer, wine, and other potent potables.
