Despite vociferous protest from tribes, Montana's state legislature has processed no fewer than four bills related to bison this year.

Republicans are plain evil. We should accept the old laws of Native Indians. They knew how to respect Mother Earth and all the creatures living on her.

Agree with Birgit. I have been fortunate enough to see these bison up close and personal and I hate to think of them being killed. So sad.

Native American people still use bison in a sustainable way.while I don't agree with eating them, it is a source of meat....the snob ranchers hold all the cards and have been spreading their half truths for so long, people don't know how to feel.

This government is continuing the war on Native Americans. Will it never stop?? We condemn other countries for doing what we did,and yet those in office still want the Native Americans to disappear. The words of the tribes are still not heard.Stop selling Native Americans and their traditions out to the greedy despicable ranchers. You are destroying the herds of Buffalo that Native Americans use in a sustainable way, and the land these people live on again for the almighty dollar. This is a terrible shame on the "good old USA" land of the not so free.Right-on Tasunka. Power To The People.

Thats awful I am not a US citizen but have empathy for animals all over the world I had an email back from Steve Bullock regarding one i had written about the wolves and he did not seem very sympathetic so i am not surprised Why do they always get these non compassionate people in power All they think about is their money and positions Its so sad Hope they keep fighting

I cannot tell you how disappointed I am that these bills were passed. Gov Bullock and his band of Republicans need to rethink what they have done to the Indian Nation and reverse this travesty. He also needs to be voted out of office a.s.a.p. and let him take his little "band" with him. This makes me sick. When will the white man ever leave the Natives in peace and give them back their domain that they keep taking and taking away. This is horrible!!!

All the anti-wildlife slaughter of late is to appease the livestock industry- not only bison, but wolves, coyotes, wild horses, etc. Please BOYCOTT beef and lamb, until they stop killing OUR wildlife!

Noted, like a chained bulldog, they will one day make a ruling so terrible, that this period of just growling will grow to unconsciounable action, and too late to do any good for what should be our national mammal
Disgusting people in MT...lived there long enough to know I would never live there, even if u paid me, nu uh!

As an rabid bfc member, this kills me.

But as bad as it is, at least Bullock vetoed some of them, something that Brian Schweitzer (who is now running at a senate seat!) would never have done.
Hell, Schweitzer was such a grade A cattlemens whore he blocked me from sending emails on the subject back in 2011!
