The agreed-upon cuts to food stamps are significantly less than what the House had requested, but double what the Senate had proposed.

I am saving to renew my driver's license, hopefully this month - I had a change of address. Last August I made a trip to a remote Brooklyn processing area to renew my SNAP benefits as directed, but there was a "bureaucratic" error???????? I was late in processing the renewal because of surgery over the summer, and now I've been without any assistance since September - I expect to get my license next month and then to re-register - hopefully by March or April they will reinstate the "lower" amount of benefits - but there is no way to get what is due retroactively - it's been a very hungry period of time for me - and toward the end o each month I can't make ends meet -- I will never make the mistake of not getting a "receipt" of having gone through the recertifying process again (who would have known?)! The bastards got me good this time around!

Guess I'll get the notice of reduction as soon as it's very tired of emailing a Representative who seems to be more GOP than very tired of trying to adjust a budget without money...and extremely tired of these Congress people who email me for donations!!! How does one donate when continually told to spend more cash because my SNAP has been cut - again...ain't no money for donations, not enough to eat on. I'm already at $1.00/meal, now will have to be even more "creative". I know why so many poor people are overweight - the cheapest foods aren't the healthy ones.

Noted. Thanks, Cal. This is awful! I'm mailing my Senators to vote "no" on the Farm Bill. The only way these politicians will ever listen to us is when we come out en force with people power.....protesting at their offices with full media attention. I am completely disgusted. My son is already getting less on his food stamps. And, now, that he's moved, has been without and has to reapply. If this passes, he'll get even less! He was barely scraping by before, like so many others. But, the funding to the military and war contractors? No problem there....funded to the tune of billions, as usual.

Thank you for the exposing the "evil doers" who subsidize gas, oil, and coal companies while taking food out of the mouths of hungry American children and their families! (n, p, t)
