Pointing lasers at aircraft can injure and distract pilots during crucial times of flight. The FBI announces a new effort to address this federal crime, including rewards of up to $10,000 for reporting such attacks.

Idiots, jerks, dumkopfs, egotists, terrorists, crazy are just some of the names you could call them. They are fun seekers or people getting their kicks out of breaking the law and hurting other people. Perhaps, when they are found, one of their punishments will be the lazer in their face with their eyes taped open. If they lose their sight, so be it. They will still be alive. At least one will not take lives.

I hope they can find these people and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law. If that's just a slap on the wrist then the laws need to be changed NOW.

Noted. Thanks, Cal. Today it was on the local Tucson news that someone who did that here was caught and they're still looking for another person involved. It is an awful thing to do! This is something that should be prosecuted as "terrorism." (Tried to flag the above spam...)

Long prison terms should be given to those who are found guilty of this crime.
