Public sentiment is softening and the power of Israel's military and high-tech capacity is recognized throughout region.

I wouldn't notice this reading all the anti posts against Israel. I hope that this is true. Thanks Cal.

I'm glad to see the signs of change. I still don't think full formal and effective peace will be possible for a long time, but it is an encouraging sign that the violence may drop.

The leaders of the US and Israel met today....we'll see.

It's going to take both sides of this coming to a workable if uncomfortable compromise. I have no hope that Bibi will agree to compromise but Tsipi Livni seems more flexible and strongly desiring a real path to peace. For the sake of the children, let's hope it happens sooner than later.

Thanks for posting Cal.We can only hope this is true.I find it hard to believe that the hate filled enemies of Israel will be in a hurry to sheath their swords

I have read similar statistics about Israeli Arab Muslims wanting to remain in a Jewish Israel. It's not difficult to understand why. Their Arab "brothers" live in relative hell-holes, including the ones that work practically as slaves in rich Arab oil states.

Israeli Arabs have more rights than just about any non-Israeli Arab countries around. There are more Arabs in the Knesset (Israeli parliament) than there are African Americans in the U.S. Senate.

Now that satellite TV makes the world seem all the more close, I think the message is slowly seeping in that non-Israeli Arabs don't have anywhere near the freedoms, human rights, and opportunities for a good education and upward mobility as they do in Israel.

The Shia-Sunni hatred, extant since the beginning of Islam, proves that Islam has nothing to offer anyone, except love of death and destruction.

Things won't change quickly, because Arabs nurture their hate against Jews from the time Arabs' children are babies. They need to hate. But this is somewhat encouraging. Iran's fanatical hatred, the desire to unleash nuclear weapons that would kill not only Jews but plenty of Arab Muslims, too, may just be that ticket for some important -- if temporary -- thawing of relations and alliances. This is not including the extant but nascent business partnerships between Israelis, Palestinians and Jordanians.

The world is getting tired from listening to all the wars and Jihadic terror ripping the Arab states.

The world is getting tired from sponsoring Palestnian Arab "refugees", who were born three generations and 60 years after the conflict, and living their whole lives in some Arab countries.

They compare this misery to the Israel's economic and development miracle and come to understanding of where the future is.

Refreshing to see an 'Israel' thread on Care2 that isn't ragingly anti-Semitic....

We are all brothers and sisters, children of the same God. Peace will prevail one day assuredly for good always triumphs in the end.

It's about time someone is waking up and seeing what Israel is all about! It surely is not the anti peace country that so many keep claiming in most of the propaganda about Israel! God works in mysterious ways!
