Too little too late ... he's on a mission (and has been since the wall came down). With enough ducks in a row to now move forward, let the fun begin.

The Russians are unlikely to take any notice of this if the people want to join with Russia let then after all the UN states that people have the right to self determination and all of these countries are a signature to this.

I could suggest to each one of these "G7" to back away from so many other places...

Russia definitely should open talks with the Nazi right wing thugs that ousted the democratically elected leaders of the Ukraine with backing from the US. We would definitely open negotiations and pull all of our troops out if the communist staged a rebellion in oh say Mexico or Canada right?

We backed away from Afghanistan and Iraq and obeyed international law and pulled our troops out and negotiated with the Taliban. (Sarcasm intended)
